What Was The Last Movie You Saw? Welcome Cinephiles.

I saw Monuments Men in the theater the other night. I really liked it a lot. A lot of great actors and it was really fun seeing people like Bill Murray and John Goodman because I can't remember the last time I saw them in a movie.

I don't like spoilers, but the basic premise is that a team of art experts are put together with the task of preserving important works of art that the Nazis stole during WWII. Apparently it's based on a true story and I'm interested in doing a little research on that because I had not previous known anything about this.

It was bittersweet and had its humor and also heartbreak. I was way more emotional than I expected to be. As an artist, it was sort of a surreal experience to watch something about this effort worldwide to preserve art--that great art really can hold that kind of importance to the human experience.

If you're an art fan, or a fan of WWII era movies I would recommend it.

Saw Monuments Men three times and I own nearly 270 films on WWII from the 1940s-present. This doesn't count the mini-series. WWII is my first love and my main area of study.
