 "A novel written by a veteran of the war in Iraq, The Yellow Birds is the harrowing story of two young soldiers trying to stay alive." This is a first novel that has garnered high praise and I can see why. It is also quite understandable that his second book is poetry. I am relishing this, (started yesterday, will finish today) exceptionally well crafted.
