A Daily Check-In

The Highs: Our campaign has gone pre-maturely and unexpectedly viral; splashed all over the national media for a week; I've busted through all my crowdsource fundraising goals; $$$'s are still rolling in; we've exceeded all of our expectations, the boss is reasonably happy; colleagues' morale is high.

The Lows: I'm really tired and it feels as though I'm out of balance, work is consuming a massive amount of my time and energy, even when I'm not there I'm drained and pretty useless and I feel kind of flat - with dimmed fizz; every new success brings with it so much more work; crazy demands and outrageous expectations (like cuckoo-crazy-town-crazy) and stress.

The Mediating Factors: Soon the campaign will be on-the-ground and (I'm hoping) the stress will shift a bit. Soon my Love will be here for awhile. Soon -but not soon enough- I'll have a good stretch of time to read books on the beach in the wilds of northern MI.
