Talking to a close friend, listening to them be happy and enjoying their laughter, even though I need to restock my medicine cabinet... getting a sense that they sincerely care. (I had a tough day, and was caught off guard when I found myself enjoying the tone of their voice....very soothing.)
Making plans with another friend for her birthday celebration and hearing her in a much better mood. FINALLY hearing from a nearly-lost friend, listening to her good news and making plans for a Friday veggie-tarian cook-out. Close, caring friends brought me joy.... |

I am learning to find joy in the simple things....being pregnant has shown me how to finally live in the moment and see that I am complete just as I am. I woke up this morning but some casual clothes on....pulled my hair up...put on some lip glass..grabbed my diva sunglasses...got in my bug...turned the top down...got on the interstate..driving to the beach...feeling the wind blow in my face...music blaring...singing....finally getting to the beach sitting in the sand, toes feeling the grains of each peace of sand and realizing everything is as it should be and is somehow perfectly imperfect!

What brought me joy today...
The weekend rain is out of here, and the spring sunshine is back. Opening up my front door, and the smell of jasmine greeting me. My front porch is lined with jasmine & it is in beautiful, full bloom! A weekend filled with peace & quiet....and sleeping in. Waking up today, refreshed! Going through TONS of paint samples, and picking out new color schemes for the living room & possibly the kitchen & bath. YAY for possibly getting new living room furniture, too A lunch date tomorrow for my mom's birthday. |
