Good Afternoon Everyone,
I just got a surprise call! I had an interview almost two weeks ago with the Peabody Hotel here in Orlando, for a position doing reservations. The recruiter just called and asked me to come in tomorrow morning and talk with the Reservations Department manager about a job as a PBX operator. I now have an interview at 9:30am tomorrow morning and the job starts off paying $8.25 per hour and is full time. How does ice cream sound? I am excited....Hope you all had a wonderful day! Zimmy

 Busy day today...bit of a hassle at work but nothing more than what's become the usual *sigh* I had high hopes when we hired the new guy, but it's not turning out that well for a variety of ridiculous reasons. I just keep plugging away, and trust that it will improve. Scoote and I just got back from dinner, I filled out passport paperwork...and then Scoote attacked me with an ice cube .gif "Say What?") Well....actually the Rooster started it, but she kept up the attack!Hope you are all having a relaxing evening.

((hugggz)) *waving to everyone* hi all - day off today, just relaxing .. my daughter has no school today, her friend thought there was school and went to her bus stop - but no bus.. so she's here for the day too since she was locked out as her parents left for the day already.. its downpouring rain out there - i swear everyday off i have its raining , lol !! but it's okay, rainy days help me be lazy and that's what i needed, doctor's orders.. sooooo, lazin' and postin' around, catching up! I have a job interview at 1:30 today with BestBuy, and I am hoping to get a part time job with them. I need to start paying off some of my debt that has accumulated from being unemployed. Good morning everyone
 Coffee is on, and breakfast is ready... Good luck with the part-time job Zimmy, but don't overdo it and wear yourself out...you'll get caught up, don't worry! I hope the new job goes well. I googled the hotel (cuz I'm nosey like that ) and it's really beautiful.We had a long day yesterday...spent the day at Magic Kingdom. Had lots of fun, walked for miles, ate stuff I'm not supposed to...all the usual stuff one does at Disney. We managed to get lost on the way there...thinking we were on the turnpike instead of 95  and paying more attention to our madlibs than the road....but it was still a good time. Scoote used the word "buttcheeks" a lot and we put together some pretty goofy ones that had us laughing.Today it's back to work (can't believe it's Monday already)....and need to help Rooster on a project this evening since he had no internet access the entire time he was gone on spring break. Going to be a busy one... :gimmehugs: Have a good day everybody!

The coffee pot is on, the kiddos are off to school, Scoote is  , and the kittens are trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing (I'm eating pistachios...and they're baffled by the process).Looks like it's going to be another hot sunny day in south FL (surprise, surprise) and I have vowed to get on back on the ball and have a productive work day. Good Luck today Jo Jo! Cats are very curious creatures and fun to watch while they figure things out...How is Scoote's back doing? I passed my interview with BestBuy yesterday and I have a second interview with them on Friday. I am supposed to hear back from the recruiter this week from the Peabody as to when my official start date is. You have to attend an orientation class before you start and they only hold those on Mondays. If I don't hear anything by Thursday, then I am going to give them a call and check on this. Good morning everyone, and thanks for taking care of breakfast Zimmy!
Scoote's back is the same...painful...at least she has an appointment with the ortho/spine specialist next week....and then "we'll see" about the neurosurgeon. They are taking for freaking ever to get this seen to, and it's truly pissing me off. She's been injured and off work about a month and a half now and they've managed an MRI and pain meds....and that's about it. Freaking ridiculous. Ugh....can you tell I'm having a less than stellar morning? Sorry!  The inspector doing the wind mitigation (i.e. will our roof blow off in a hurricane) for the insurance company is here, and up in the attic. Better him than me....I get skeeved out up there really quick. I'm off to have some coffee, and see if I can pull myself out of my funk so that I can at least be productive for work....my desk is about 2 feet tall in paper at the moment. What most people who are government employees don't realize, is how their jobs could be taking away the next day. I am so happy to get a job, I no longer have to fight with the unemployment office. Every two weeks, there was a new reason as to why I had been put on suspension and I had to call and beg them to allow me to submit my claim. I never thought that when I first started working over fifteen years ago, that I would have to fight for my tax money. I don't know and I am over the politics here in Florida. good afternoon kitcheneers...long time no type....been busy driving Jo crazy bc WC is dragging their asses on getting me to a dr and a solution to my problem..finally tho i have an appt with an orth spinal specialist(even tho my dr insists i need a neurosurgeon NOT an ortho). Im not sure how mucch good it will do,but we shall see.
Hello Ms Snow....i have been contemplating the green stuff--even mentioned it to JO--but im not sure she believed it was for medicinal purposes only Zimmy i hear ya on fighting for ur money..i anm now having to fight to get my WC..they are suddenly dragging their asses on that as well...which wouldnt normally be an issue,but with the Bahama trip coming up and Roosters trip to Lead America and then to NY and other stuff,plus the fact im losing about 750-1000 a month has made things tight--for me--Jo says we will be ok,but im not happy having someone pick up my slack like that but anyway hope everyone is enjoying their humpday! and for my hardworking sweetie i love you!
