Default Good morning healthies

Sitting in Panera bread this morning.

First got a large non-fat cap with 2 extra shots and 3 Splenda, walked across parking lot to Panera.

Ordered an eggwhite omelet-not really an omelet-no cheese and one slice thin black forest ham. It was on whole grain bread, no butter but decided against the bread.

Truly back in the groove with my eating now. Feel free of cravings. It is such a relief to again believe I have the power over what I chose to eat.

I am one person that you can never, ever say to: "Oh, go on, one bite won't hurt you". One bite of a trigger food for me is a slippery slope.

I chose to, for today; to just say no.

i'm noticing a lot of changes with my body as well as my thinking -
the best change is my increase in energy, it's amazing what a 40 lb loss feels like, and encourages me to want to feel more weight loss.. i feel healthier than i ever have, but of course that comes with a lot of hurdle jumping these days ..

but, so much more self motivation these days..
This week, i am hoping to try Zumba for the first time at my gym.
and will be making some changes to my exercise routine..

i'm doing well, and feeling excited for my next weigh in.. i'm thinking Wednesday will be a good day for weigh in & measurements.

LOVE reading all of your progress everyone - i learn so much in this thread...
and get so motivated, thank you all ((((huggggggz))))

Good Morning Everyone,

I am having the honey and plain Greek yogurt for breakfast with a 8oz cup of soymilk and a cup of coffee for breakfast. The honey and plain Greek yogurt is pretty good and isn't as sweet.

Have a great day and has anyone seen Rockin lately?

Zimmy

Still going strong with my daily cardio. I have done 7 consecutive days and 10 out of 11.

Yesterday I changed it up a little. The missus and I did 97 minutes on streets, trails, and railroad tracks. Lots of inclines. We did some jogging but mostly walking, and I hurt more last night after all of that than I did after any of my "mostly jogging" adventures. I found that interesting.

This week I'm going to attempt more of the same and keep my heart rate in the 70% neighborhood and see if that makes any difference. I'm wondering if the jogging isn't keeping my heart rate up too high and out of the "fat burning" range. ???

I'm also going to see how it goes for me to cut off my eating at 4:30. I was intentionally eating later there for a while, primarily because of the weight training. Since I'm not on weights right now, I thought I'd give this a try and see how it goes.

I enjoyed the honey when I tried it.

I ate a bowl of oatmeal very early this morning......one of the Quaker Oats Weight Control ones. Had that and some orange juice. And coffee, of course!

The weight management Fiber Choice supplements that I picked up on Saturday, are doing a great job of controlling my hunger. Which is great for me since I like to snack between meals. I bought a bottle of Sue Bee Clover Honey and I add about half of a teaspoon of it to my Greek yogurt.

I love oatmeal on the weekends.

Have fun today,

Zimmy

Default Happy Monday all!

Fiber Zimmy, yes indeed.

Body still protesting but taking it in anyway. I would have incorporated it sooner had I not resisted it psychologically. Something about Metamucil = old I guess.

Put 5 grams in my oatmeal with raisins this AM, another 5 in my coffee. Simple, easy and full- oh yes.

I don't know why I got up this morning and wanted to eat my house.

I packed my lunch and came to work and walked past the kiosk where they are serving hot breakfast.
I would like to have stopped and eaten the following:
2 biscuits with country gravy
3 pieces of very crispy slab bacon
a starbucks mocha
and half of a blueberry muffin with a ton of melting butter all oozing down the sides and pooling onto the plate where I would go back and lap it up and.....Oh. Is this thing on?

Instead, this is what I'm having:

1/2 cup coffee with sugar free french vanilla creamer
banana
pluot
v8

GRAVY. I WANT GRAVY.

I'm going to have this issue next Thursday when we have our International Food Day at work. I won't be participating in this event since they are going to have foods that I cannot have.

Have fun today!

Oh y'all I feel ya! There are somedays when I want to do is eat. When those days pop up, I end up trying to drink a lot more water - trying to trick myself into thinking I'm full. If that doesn't work, I eat the hell out of some popcorn or munch on a bag of baby carrots. As we speak, my stomach feels like it's eating itself... and I just had breakfast 3 hours ago.

a toasted cinnamon raisin english muffin
a banana
and 2 cups of coffee with a splash of sweet cream creamer

For lunch, I made up a batch of tuna salad with light MW, egg whites & a lil' onion. I don't know if I'm gonna eat it as a lettuce wrap, or with saltine crackers (luckily, you can have 5 saltines for only 1 WW point). I'll have apple slices & big ol' grapes on the side.

down .6 at WW weigh in. Would be fine but there was no weigh in last monday for labor day, and the week before was out due to the hurricane. Oh well, right direction anyway, but shows without the accountability of a public weigh in, I slack!

so lunch can of progresso soup (2 pts for the whole can), and a couple hard boiled eggs.

got to step it up!

((((((SCORPIE))))))))))))

Honey, I've been there and done that! As easily as I can motivate myself somedays, other times I can fall prey to my own peer pressure. I'm telling you, there are days when I have ZERO willpower. Once I get an idea in my head that I want something... it takes everything in my power to just say no. Somedays, I can't. Honestly, it's an addiction.

Try getting some healthier chocolate options and keep them in your desk. 3 Muskateers are "supposed" to be a good choice if you have to raid a vending machine. I know, it's fuckin' tough when you hear a Reese's Peanut Butter cup calling your name.

You are NOT weak Jackie! You can do this! Remember, when the days are hard, take it one meal at a time!

(sigh) I'm eating sweet granola now.....

Ohhhhhhhh Rosie............I'm just so disgusted with myself....What happened to the gung ho "I'm gonna do this" attitude..........I've been bad....bad...bad...

The sabotaging myself thought process has begun......

I'm sorry I'm being a downer in here folks. I don't mean to be negative and wish everyone continued success....

Maybe I should be a contestant on Survivor. That's the only way I'll fuckin' lose weight by eating bugs and shit....

If you're gonna suck down some chocolate, get the dark kind, buy a bar and eat the whole thing at once, get it over with. By eating dark you get the good anti oxidants, and by eating the whole thing you get it out of your system. Then go grab an apple or some fruit and get back to doing what you know is good for you.
Stop beating yourself up!

Before my chocolate outburst eating episode I ate a fuji apple and a delicious nectarine and thought it would satify the sweet craving. Of course that didn't cut it so I went down the bad road...Surprise, surprise...

I'm just going through a bad time right now with this fucking stupid thing!

Stop beating yourself up!

I'm sorry I'm being a downer in here folks. I don't mean to be negative and wish everyone continued success....

Maybe I should be a contestant on Survivor. That's the only way I'll fuckin' lose weight by eating bugs and shit....
Seeee you can do this! Good choice on the granola! And Corkey is right, DARK CHOCOLATE is the best alternative there is to the bad stuff.

You are not being a downer honey. We've all had those days, where sabotaging ourselves is a hell of a lot easier that motivating ourselves. It's easy to fall back into our old ways and/or eating habits. That's why this journey is a bumpy one.

This group is all about the support & encouragement... we are all gonna have those days where it seems like we are fighting a losing battle. But let me tell you... I HAVE ALL THE FAITH IN THE WORLD IN YOU! You might be down, but you won't be for long. You are far too determined & stubborn I might add, to go defeated my friend! TRUST that!
