Alpha
Have to say I was disappointed with this film. It is supposed to be a story about a young man and a Wolf, and the start of the domestication of the Wolf to the dog. The story of the two took some time to get to, and although I realise that you need some kind of back story to how they met it was drawn out. I went to see it on 3D but it didn't really seem that 3D to me either. Get it out on dvd but I wouldn't bother going to the cinema if you have to pay. BlacKkKlansman I really like this film, even though there are some bits that could have been cut, (long disco dancing scene for one) It have some bits of humour in it in places so you can laugh and have a seconds break from the very serious issues in the film. The subject of the film is very raw still given the current climate in the USA especially. Worth going to the cinema for but if not watch it when it's out on other formats |

Submission (2017) starring: Addison Timlin, Stanley Tucci, Kyra Sedgwick
A cynical college professor takes a keen interest in a talented young writing student. Even tho it was pretty predictable and we've seen this story told a million times, I have to say I really enjoyed it......... ![]() |

![]() In a tough Boston suburb, private detective Patrick Kenzie is hired to trace the missing daughter of Helene McCready. Police chief Doyle doesn't think Patrick has a chance as she's been missing for 76 hours already. Patrick recognises the threat from molester Corwin Earle and Haitian gangster Cheese, but in a neighbourhood where he's lived all his life, the real danger may be closer to home. Release date: October 19, 2007 (USA) Director: Ben Affleck Story by: Dennis Lehane Awards: Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture, MORE Screenplay: Ben Affleck, Aaron Stockard Found this on Netflix. It was kind of slow to start but not for long. Also, you really had to follow the plot line. It was one of those "piecely pullzey" But, all in all I would give it 5 starts. |

Sorry I can’t do the wicked cool clippy thing with my phone (or maybe I can but don’t know how) My computer will be fixed this week .

Wow, what a brilliant film.
Loved it so much I wanna go back. The music in this film is amazing, it's really moving in a lot of places. Make the effort to see it, you won't regret it one bit. |

Went to see A Star is Born. It was way better than I could ever have imagined. I think that Gaga is in a class all by herself. I already downloaded the music. Cooper did an excellent job at directing. I found it interesting that it was produced by Jon Peters who was Streisand's boyfriend and they co-produced her version of A Star is Born

Same here: I went to see A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. What an outstanding music soundtrack, story line and fabulous performances by an all-star cast.
I saw two movie trailers for upcoming movies I want to see, though: The Upside and Rocket Man (Elton John). |

Redbox night. I saw Skyscraper and Hotel Transylvania 3. I liked both. Skyscraper had to get a big kickback from Duct tape, though. If you've seen it, you know what I mean.
I tried to watch Suburbicon but the disc was damaged so I missed big chunks out of it. I found it on cable anyway, so I'll record it and fill in the missing blanks. And minus my cursing too. |

A comedy about loss, grief and the redemptive power of love, Dean is an NY illustrator who falls hard for an LA woman while trying to prevent his father from selling the family home in the wake of his mother's death. "The Favourite"...loved it.
Engages the eyes, ears, brain. You'll laugh; you'll cry; you'll go Google who these people really were. What more could you ask from a film? Check it out.

We seem to have a very good knack at producing good period drama's with dark humour injected. Great acting by all, and yes it makes you want to find out more about these women and their history. |

Watched this film last night on dvd.
I have to say I rather think it was hyped up a lot. Although the young actor Timothée Chalet was very good,I just found it way too long. The press were all over this movie when it was released. But for me it was just ok. |
