would you choose? A neighbor of mine who I really admire. She’s in her 70s and her husband is in his 80s. She designed the house they live in to be completely solar powered, with everything on one level with wide doors for if either of them are wheelchair bound, they grow all of their own food and are all kinds of awesome. House includes a greenhouse in the bedroom so they can grow their greens/veggies all year long. She is so wise and calm and centered. I want to be her for a day.

What were you like in high school? In the beginning- honestly, anorexic rock girl. By the end, still not eating much but more of a hippie intellect. I knuckled down and doubled up on classes to graduate early and get the hell out of there.

Is the idea of marriage appealing to you? If the right person came along, but it’s never been a big life goal.

What you look for in a partner: Connection, emotional and physical. Humor. My partner needs to make me laugh and they need to get my sometimes wacky sense of humor- or at least pretend to.
