I received a long distance call from my brother and it was nice to see his trip went well and he is doing fine. He went to check on his home in Newfoundland and make sure all is well with his tenant. I will be glad when he gets back but then again, I wish I was there with him but I have only had one shot and they won't let you in. Oh well, next time.

One of the postcards that I sold today on eBay was taken in Arizona of a young Native American boy looking into a well. The man who bought it left a note and said that was him when he was 10 years old and he is 68 now and very happy to have the postcard. I am so happy the postcard is going home where it belongs. Hearing this really made my day.

The kids came to visit and the little one had on her Halloween witches costume
and looked so cute. I had surprises for her of course. It is so nice to see them as it took them 4 hours to get here from their new home with lots of traffic. I do worry about them driving so far in traffic as so many people start drinking and driving once the word Xmas is in the air. Anyway it really makes me smile when I see them all and get lots of hugs from them especially the little one. A five year old can sure make your heart sing and your face put on a huge smile.

A very gratifying day at work. Lots of positive feedback from clients. And hardly any traffic driving home tonight. And our 3 day get-away next week. Lots to smile about today.

Someone put a fully bloomed plant on my door stoop without a card. Maybe the HOA board gave it to me.

I left it on the door stoop overnight and will move it to my deck if it’s still there when I go out in a little while.

Thinking of yesterday and my Dr. visit after my tests and my problems existing have not gotten worse and all my regular functions are a go. I am so blessed to have a somewhat clean slate in health plus my booster shot is almost one month and it is good to eat out for a change.

I made myself smile today. I finally dragged myself to the gym and got a decent workout in. The endorphins are pumping and I made myself a reasonably healthy after workout breakfast. I feel productive and accomplished and the day is only half over!

It was more a smile with laughter as I watched my cats run after the lights as I was putting them on the tree. Mind you - that smile and laughter did not last long when I was trying to shoo them away so that I did not trip over them and end up in a full on hug with the tree.

I got a shirt in the mail today that I did not order. I asked my Mom if she sent it to me. She said yes, Merry Christmas. It's a red and black buffalo plaid shirt from LL Bean. So my mom sent me a dyke shirt, lol. I like it.

Had my final phone call from my brother who will be heading here soon. We are going to dinner and stage performance this evening. (got the tickets). I also did him a stocking of lots of things he likes. Probably hasn't had one since he was a boy. I can't wait to see his face after the show. Smiling ear to ear all day.

Taking a long neighborhood walk today and seeing my street in full on Autumn. The sidewalks and lawns are carpeted with leaves so thick and the crunch sound walking through them. The trees have finally changed and there are those that are now yellow, orange, rust, and red. Autumn is slow to come to north Texas and she doesn't last very long. If you blink you miss it but if you don't blink, you get to see so much. It's just beautiful right now.
