Jumbo steamed shrimp & steamed vegetables...(water chestnuts/snow pea pods/broccoli florets/carrots slices/mushrooms...I could only eat 3 of those shrimp and an ounce of veggies...

I found a 40% off promo coupon for Papa John's, so I had an extra large pizza delivered for fourteen bucks and some change.
I am not wild about red pizza sauce, instead I ordered a pizza with spinach alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, loads of veggies, and pineapple. It is delicious and there is plenty leftover to freeze.

I pulled out my indoor grill, cause it's just so hot and the mosquitos are taking over out side.
Grilled chicken and onions over bow tie pasta with pesto sauce. I marinaded mushrooms, garlic with balsamic and red wine vinegars. Tomorrow's lunch will be delish!

made sour apricot jam..then made a marinade for chicken and tofu - sour apricot jam, garlic, lemon juice, spicy brown mustard, sherry, spices..it was very good..the apricot jam was awesome!

Last night, I got home very late and didn't want anything heavy. I had a tomato sandwich (15 grain bread, light Miracle Whip, thick heirloom tomato slices) and the leftover tomato slices with sea salt.
That wasn't enough so I had a cookie too. That part wasn't great but it's better than gorging on chicken sausage and rice at 9pm. |

My daughter is tweaking a mac and cheese recipe she learned earlier this year. Fine chopped cauliflower and broccoli instead of noodles, almond milk instead of whole milk, and a few other hacks. Sounds interesting!
