The nurses at work frequently treat us to dinner...
 I had a slice of pizza and a tiny can of ginger ale. When I got home, I had caramel ice cream and a glass of red wine.

2 cans herring fillets
1 can smoked oysters saltines quart and a half of ice cold milk (put three 16 oz. plastic cups of milk in the freezer about 20 minutes before I started eating) I was outside today a whole lot in hot, very humid weather talking with utility people on the phone, getting services put in my name and turned on for this upcoming Monday (closing on a home then) ... plus having utilities at the place I have been living turned off ... power utility is not going well ... I had to work hard to restrain my mouth ... seem to have moved to a co op area .... wtf with such picky rules!!! First exposure to this ... I will get the service with a little more paperwork. I had to eat something that would give me high protein but not make me feel full. I would have blown my groceries if I had teamed up tonight with the hot, heavy, fill me up stuff. |

I was going to give it a try and cook salmon/blueberries sauce...but weather was hot and I didnt want to turn on the oven...and I got hmm lazy as to go outside and use the grill...
.gif "Say What?") soooo I ended with ahem...fried egg in butter, thin sliced turkey ham, almond mozzarella style shreds...and all that slide right onto thin bread rounds...

Black pepper chicken, and hot and sour soup from the local Chinese take out, and I made some steamed veggies to go with it. This way I can keep my carbs & calories fairly low and still have Chinese take out.

I was craving fried rice. So, I made some and finished it off with Ben and Jerry's non-dairy ice cream...It's the best freaking vegan ice cream I have every had and I don't say that lightly. I have tried many and found them to fall short of what real ice cream would be. This however, feels and tastes like the real deal. I'm one happy guy right now

I tried a new recipe: a roasted butternut squash galette with caramelized onions, mushrooms, spinach with a creamy vegan gouda sauce. Yup it's a keeper.
I found the recipe online and then put my own flare to it.

My youngest and I were craving Chinese so we went to the new buffet place. It was ok. I still haven't found a Chinese place that knocks my socks off...they all just suffice.
