What brought me joy today....
Getting my jam on, with some awesome music from the cd swap! Getting sweet cards in the mail today from Divalicious, SpiritDancer & a local long time friend. Clear skies, lots o' sunshine and lower humidity! Getting the call from my boo, that her mom's tests came back ~ she's still cancer free! |

I have been struggling...
it's been hard to be of good cheer and feel hopeful... yesterday I went to cardio-rehab, and though it's baby steps, I made All the steps and am gonna be back there tomorrow morning at 7:30 am I went back to work today, and while it kinda sucks in some ways, I proved to myself I can do it...and, since I work freelance, I can work when I want, mostly... I have a big trip planned next week to go east and take care of my mother...I am feeling stronger and more confident that I can do what I need to do... And...what actually made me JoyFull was finding out that I got accepted to a juried show to which I applied...it's a really well known Bay Area holiday show...I did it last year and loved it...I had not heard anything from the application, so I finally send an email to the director of the show...she wrote back saying I got in!!...it had really boosted my spirits...I also applied to an other show, only because SF helped me with the resizing of the pictures...I haven't heard from that one, I don't think I'll get in, but I promised myself I'd apply...I am really Thrilled to be accepted to the KPFA Craft Fair which is going to be held this December.... yeah, I do know I am rambling on...luckly there is 'delete' ;) it just feels pretty nice that the sun is shining into the house (and it is, we're having a lovely day) and I am feeling some glimmers of hope...that's okay, right? |

Going to get My mail and finding two wonderfully sweet and loving early birthday cards from My girl ... complete with her perfume.
 Pimping out My desk at work. A vm from My BFF. Taking a half day off work this Thursday to spend with My girl and having date night for the Day of My Birth. Getting the ok for time off at the end of October. Words with meaning, always. Knowing that if you really want it, it can happen. Coffee time in the morning. Getting a chicken bone. Grrrrrrr. Grins. Watching the movie "Temple Grandin" about a woman with autism long before we knew what we know today, who went on to get her doctorate and become a professor of animal husbandry in Colorado. She developed a humane way to ready cows for slaughter in that she had the ability to see their behavior and devise a system to calm them based on her own experiences. It is truly an amazing and heartwarming story of a person determined to make a difference in the world.

I went with Ms. Tabitha so she could adopt a dog.....a precious L'asa Apso (sp?). And THEN she said.....Oh Janey....let's (LET'S) go look at the KITTIES! (Inside my head, I said....I'm a goner!") I walked slowly..... I'm thinking....baby girl kitteh. One. Female. ONE. And then I saw them.............2 little 4-month-old Siamese boy kittehs...... Now.......I have 2 little 4-month-old Siamese boy kittehs home to Chez Diva's. THEY. ARE. ADORABLE. Even LUCY likes them....okay, SORTA! They are home.....they are already box-trained and little purr-buckets!!! I'm about to post pics in my Gallery so You can see JUST how precious they are! |
