Chili
I made a huge batch of vegan, organic chili which also has meatless meat crumbles, organic red kidney and pinto beans, and a huge dose of minced organic garlic. I used an organic, low-acid tomato base and lots of spring water.
I'm having a cup of it right now for lunch, but most likely I will have more for dinner tonight. I used a bit of vegan, non-dairy 'sour cream' to put on top of a bowl of chili and a few organic multi-grain 'corn' chips. Luckily, I only have chili at weird, irregular times during the year, so I'm going to have chili all week long (or for as long as this big batch of home made chili lasts).

a neighbor brought me some vegetable soup she cooked all day yesterday ... very good!
unflavored soy milk to drink (3 glasses) tried to eat a couple of vegan cookies with the last glass of soy milk ... these are going in the trash ... too f***ed-up tasting for me

Chili Verde.
I had some left over pork roast. Mixed it up with onion, garlic, chopped celery, cilantro and jalapeno. Added a can of green chilies. The base was concocted up with chicken stock, cream cheese and a dash of heavy cream. More like creamy chili verse. It wasn't quite spicy enough, so I topped my serving off with green salsa and some shaved cheese. It is quite delicious! And keto approved. Hot lemon pound cake tea.

Visited with the grandbaby and had a wonderful dinner. Her mom is a great cook (well she owns a take out and cooks it all herself). Cooks with no additives and no canned or processed food.

Hamburger patty on top of my left over salad from lunch. I added sauteed mushrooms, cheddar cheese and avocado.
Not so fancy water to drink. I made zucchini bread with almond flour and coconut sugar. It's ok. Even better with cream cheese smeared on it!

I still have to check out how they do on some of my stand-by favorites, though - Moo Goo Gai Pan and Mongolian Beef. I haven't wanted those lately, though.

I took her dish back to her today and she asked me if I wanted another dish of it ... course I said "yes"  soy milk to drink motts no sugar added applesauce for dessert wish I had candy but nothing in the house sweet to eat except the applesauce |
