As it is all of 14 degrees outside I threw the dutch oven on the wood stove which was fired up. I loaded that pot with beef and chicken broth, veggies, mac elbows, mushrooms and chicken.
That will be supper and lunch and supper and lunch! |

Tonight dinner is going to be bread pudding with a honey bourbon sauce. I can't really get interested in eating anything more healthy, but I'm excited by the idea of taking the rest of my stale Christmas stollen and turning it into a bread pudding. I think it will be really delicious.
I might nibble on some cheese ball while I wait for the pudding to come out of the oven.

German cabbage rolls in creamy garlic mushroom bacon roulade
I use Napa cabbage for this recipe, and use chopped crimini mushrooms with peppered bacon to make a creamy rich white sauce (roulade). I might add sliced jalapeños to step up the warm factor. ��

Left over ham with beans soup-
The Xmas ham had 2 choices- 1. Be frozen for another meal OR 2. Be come ham and beans soup with additions of carrots/celery/potatoes Option #2 has become my dinner for tonight!
