Spending the last 2 hours with My sister, niece, and nephew. Having a long overdue heart to heart with My sister. Knowing that we have each other's backs... come what may... even when we may disagree with each other. Knowing that nothing nor no one can sever that bond.

My niece sharing her Easter candy with Me.

A call from the airport.

My best friend Ms. Gayness herself.. sending Me a Happy Easter text.

Tomorrow .. finally starting My regular work hours.. aaah.. a routine.

My sister and niece making plans to come and see My new digs tomorrow evening.

Wishing My Mom a Happy Easter.

With a new chapter.. sometimes there are characters that can not be brought forward.. and there is peace in the knowing.

I am so embarassed! Before one assumes a big belly is filled with babies, one should turn the kitty around and look under the tail..oh what did I find there when I looked? Hmmm....butt balls! She is a he and he is not pregnant...just fat or wormy..either way he goes to the vet...oh lord...and his name is now Lucius!

No matter weather the kitty is a she or he ,it knews who would be the right one to go to so he would be safe and cared for,Since he has chosen you and has picked a place under your alter..Lucius has chosen a home as well.He chose well.

Sunday's in quite a while. Sunrise service on the beach with my beloved mother and lovely daughter at my side. Then on to a bountiful Easter Sunday brunch overlooking our gorgeous bay. A visit to my aunt who is in the hospital...and recovering nicely from a health crisis. On to my apartment to hang more curtains, string lights around the tops of my kitchen cabinets to add some soothing ambiance to the room, repacking the smallest storage shed off the balcony to where not even an ant cannot fit in now, dinner at Denny's using the AARP card for that discount...on to her house and watching Joel Osteen speak about leaving a legacy for generations to come of kindness, compassion and faith.

I could not have had a nicer, more peaceful day than today.

Thanks, Mom. Thank you, my dear daughter. You lift me up and hold me tight.

Coming into the house flustered from being soaked from the ankles down (walking barefoot in the rain to not soak my shoes grrr). Sat down on the couch and was immediately pounced upon by the dogs. I love those dang dogs! Kisses from my pups always make me smile.

Today was a good day for surprises....About twice a month I cruise the goodwill stores in and around my town just to see whats up.I got really lucky to find a brand new book never read by Ann Rice,my all time fav author,its called the feast of all souls.Then I got a call from one of my pool team captains that they had to do a total clean out of a house that had been abandoned...did I want the freezer for $40.00 bucks...its been emptyed and cleaned and now is in there garage till they can bring it over to my palce.Not a bad day.

Hanging My Ansel Adams prints up in the livingroom. They so go with the architecture of this place.

Sitting here watching yet another thunderstorm rage across the valley and lake.

Getting good news on the starting of My health/dental insurance.

Thinking of ideas of what to get My Mom for Mother's Day.

Fully engaging and opening the door.

Realizing the best is yet to come, and I am ready.

What brought me joy today...

Walking downstairs to let the doggie out, and hearing the soothing sounds of the wooden windchimes that we bought during our last beach trip.

Opening up the french doors to the most beautiful spring morning we've had in weeks. (cooler temps, low humidity & lots of sunshine).

Looking out over the backyard at all the beautiful colors of the flowers in full bloom. Seeing a cardinal in the birdbath & a robin pokin' in one of my flower pots.

Sleepy smiles that are only for me.

The best iced vanilla coffee (well, after I added a lil' more french vanilla creamer).

It was so lovely to step outside this morning to brisk temps and low humidity......water my roses and other flowers and see my tomatoes growing strong....filling up the birdbath and hearing the birds singing their little hearts out!

Ethel ALmost let me pet him! He WANTS to.....but it's a trust thing for him, I'm thinkin'....

I got to go out for lunch with a friend.
Then I went to Walmart I hate that store to buy Scotts Weed and Feed (liquid and pellets) for the grass.

Then I came home and mowed the front yard in a cool looking pattern.
Then I sprayed on the liquid weed and feed.

I know, I know...small minds are amused by small things..
