1. Did you make any New Year's resolutions last year? If so, what?
I resolved not to make any New Year's resolutions. 2. Did you keep your resolutions? Why yes, yes I did. 3. What is the biggest/most important lesson you learned over the last year? I learned so many, yanno? Hard to say what the biggest one was... I guess it would have to be trust; I think that's what they all boiled down to, trusting myself. 4. What is one thing that you meant to accomplish but didn't? Getting That House organized. Also, getting us out of financial trouble... that one we actually went backwards on. *sigh* 5. What was the biggest change in your life over the last year? There were two and they're equally huge. I learned to see leeches before they get their jaws in me, that was a good change. Lady got diabetes and went blind from VERY fast-growing cataracts, that's a bad change. 6. Do you like cheese? LOL, Dusa, you do crack me up! Yes, there's almost nothing that can't be improved with cheese... even chocolate is better with cream cheese (cheesecake, anyone?). 7. Did anyone new come into your life over the last year? Tons of people, and I am most grateful that they've gone again, too--that thing about leeches, yanno? I seem to attract them with annoying regularity. The people I've met who aren't leeches seem to be keepers though. 8. What are you most thankful for over the last year? Gryph. Hands down, always and ever, Gryph. 9. Will you make any New Year's resolutions this year? If yes, what? The same as last year, I'm sure. 10. Name one new thing that you plan to do in 2011. Put in a real garden! I'm planning to renovate That Yard, put in fruit trees, berry bushes and vines, and build a real veggie garden! It'll be our third spring here, and I have a pretty good idea now where I want to put things, where the sun and shade are, and just how long the hose has to be to keep everything watered. (100 feet--it's a big yard, wow!) Last edited by Bit; 01-01-2011 at 08:11 PM. Reason: typonese |

1. Did you make any New Year's resolutions last year? If so, what? Ummm if I did I don't remember what they might have been.
2. Did you keep your resolutions?guess not 3. What is the biggest/most important lesson you learned over the last year? I learned it is not healthy nor in my best interest to allow someone, to have control over my emotions. I had to learn to retake control over myself, as I had never experienced such emotion that caused me to lose my emotional self control before. I learned to be more aware of personal characteristics of those who I chose to trust, associate with, bring into my circle and/or love....or not. 4. What is one thing that you meant to accomplish but didn't? I didn't concentrate enough on looking for a better job. I had faith that this too would pass, as far as my job situation, but it hasn't. 5. What was the biggest change in your life over the last year? Learning to live off of a LOT less money, my Daddy coming back home and having a present roommate, and learning to live without PJ..she was a constant for a lot of years 6. Do you like cheese? only the kinds that don't look like they've already been ate 7. Did anyone new come into your life over the last year? Yes they did. Lots of someone news. People come and people go, they all leave a burning ember to remind me of what they came into my life for. 8. What are you most thankful for over the last year? Daddy coming home, my little "Tootie", Nannie not suffering, my roomie, and the support of my friends when I was at the bottom and need them most 9. Will you make any New Year's resolutions this year? If yes, what? No just life style changes 10. Name one new thing that you plan to do in 2011. well it won't be skydiving. I don't know but I'm open for suggestions

1. Did you make any New Year's resolutions last year? If so, what?
**Not officially but I did want to focus on eating healthier and getting my house organized. 2. Did you keep your resolutions? ** I did! I ate much healthier for most of the year but kinda went into "I dont give a fuck" mode around September. Also, got my house in better shape this year! 3. What is the biggest/most important lesson you learned over the last year? ** That some things and people are not worth the stress. I had a stroke in June 2011 and realized that trying to allow space for all the damage in the world isn't a healthy thing for me. I also learned that sometimes no matter how much love you show people, they will be unable to accept it because of their own fears or damage. 4. What is one thing that you meant to accomplish but didn't? ** I wanted to lose 50 pounds. I lost 40 and gained 8 of it back so Im officially down 32 pounds. I do feel better and my knees arent hurting so much! 5. What was the biggest change in your life over the last year? ** Definitely stress management. I read and relax more, turn the phone off more, draw better boundaries. 6. Do you like cheese? ** Always! And discovered my love of peccorino romano this year! 7. Did anyone new come into your life over the last year? ** Yes. A perfectly lovely gayboy and several new girlfriends. 8. What are you most thankful for over the last year? ** I'm thankful for being here on this earth after my very scary stroke. I'm thankful for the love in my life and the possibilities in 2012. 9. Will you make any New Year's resolutions this year? If yes, what? ** Yes - This year I will get in better shape physically and continue to draw boundaries where I need to. 10. Name one new thing that you plan to do in 2011. ** Buy a new car. __________________

I reached three professional goals in 2011: to finish an advanced degree in Math and Science Education, to receive professional certification in teaching high school math, and to start a viable robotics program.
This new year is all about my own health and well being. I want to take fun exercise classes, like hooping, but I might try zumba too, since I really love to dance and we haven't been going out much this year. My poor little Bella is recovering from being hit by a car, but this was a huge unexpected expense, and it will take time for me to recover financially, but it is important to me to continue to pay off some longstanding debt. |
