Hanna - Terrific action packed movie. Very well done. Lost the storyline a few times tho. The Green Lantern - pretty boring for an action movie. Atlas, Shrugged - and so did I. The premise was good and pertinent to the current economic fiasco. But, it reminded me too much of a "Dallas" kind of storyline. Kept waiting for JR to show up. |

I saw that on opening night. It was a strange ending. A couple parts made me feel scared, or perhaps uneasy would be better.
I have gone to houses to do clearings on more than one occassion and have watched kids have conversations with beings I could not see. Nothing as horrific as that movie, but still. Off topic, but gonna keep going anyway... had a neighbors with two sweet sweet little girls. One was particularly "open". I saw them outside one day and the little one, in her broken language, was sooooooo excited to tell me about the little people she saw. She had woken in the middle of the night to talk and play with them. The sounds woke her mother who went to check on her. There she was hands flying, giggling and having a very intense conversation with, what I think were the little people. It was one of the most adorable conversations I had ever had... K... back to your regular reading... sorry for the derail.

If you watch a trailer five times, is that a good sign you want to see the movie?

Watched Season of the Witch last night; it was lame. I wonder why for every one decent movie Nicholas Cage does there are at least three that flop.

Watched a couple of movies this weekend.
Breaking Dawn Pt 1 - And no I won't blame it on Gillian. In fact I drug HER there instead of vice versa. I can't help it. I love Alice (no not bella). The movies are still saturated with angst and hormones but hey - I'm in it til the end (yes I have read the books) Captain America - watched this on a whim last night. YAY! Very good movie! Can't wait for The Avengers (specially since Joss Whedon is at the helm) |

I saw Inception today and I loved it! Just when I thought I had it figured out, they all woke up on the airplane! If you've not seen it, it's not going to matter what I put here, it won't make any sense anyway Anyway, if you like a movie that you have to really pay attention to, this one is it!

Biutiful - Mexican film with Javier Bardem (love him!)...he is a black marketer of Chinese laborers who learns he has terminal cancer...he begins to attempt to make amends for all his past wrongdoings and secure stability for his two young children...was a good movie.
Leap Year - Mexican film...a lonely, youngish woman pretends to have many that love her but in reality does not...she goes out every night and picks up random men...sleeps with them...they leave. She meets one who continues to come back to her and he introduces her to BDSM. Their trysts elevate to the point she feels she can only be satisfied...and can only satisfy him as well as show her affection...if he is to kill her as they are having sex. Interesting movie to be certain. What can I say? I like foreign films! Last edited by WomenMoveMe; 11-22-2011 at 05:48 AM. Reason: left something out |

Law Abiding Citizen - Loved It. Great screenplay and acting. I love well written movies that keep me guessing.

I watched Murder in the First again today...I am not usually a Kevin Bacon fan, but he gives an excellent performance.

OK, feeling very philistine with all you guys watching real movies, but my most recent movie was Zombieland (truly awesome, if you have not had the pleasure, but probably will not make you a better person or make you think hard about your station in life)
I am currently watching Baby Mama (another important cinematographic piece) I like it. Sue me. I love the relationship between the two women. Last edited by Anastasia; 11-25-2011 at 09:51 PM. |
