My Dad told a story of how I was 2 or 3 and had heard this song and decided that I was going to sing it for like 5 days. Hey, its a catchy tune!

What is even more amusing to me is that I was apparently trying to get my Dad to sing the song with me, to a stuffed dog that I called Candy girl. Oh my God..how I remember this stuff, I have no idea. Anyway this was a really fun memory for me and I have always, clearly loved this song.

Some sweetness in my life today, sparked the memory of this song ~ I still love to sing ~ so I went looking for it. Had to share.

My take on this is that this song, even though West coast reminds me of some earlier NYC hip hop. You got it like that, it rings of home. See, now you know
