I went through a spell where I was constantly putting my wallet through the wash. Thankfully it's been several years since I've done it so everything is dried out now, lol.

Truer words were never spoken (as a generalization of course.)
"Honey do you have a Kleenex/gum/aspirin/nebulizer/epi-pen/chapstick?" Pulls out requested item.

Just a couple of small problems with that. Those chains catch on everything! And if not secured correctly you can still lose your wallet.
And Dapper and chain wallet just do not go together.

My mom gave me an new black faux D&G purse, with an long shoulder strap, recently, so I only carry what I need: passport, sparkly compact mirror, lipstick, tissue, mints, keys, mace, and an sterling silver card holder (for ID, DL, and my debit banking smart chip card). I also keep an tiny bottle filled with med's in my purse and I keep it in the zippered section, where I keep my phone. Oh, and an metal nail file, in case I need to mend an fingernail or keep my nails looking nice.

Kate Spade on my mind
As a butch, I slide my cards into one back pocket and my phone into the other. I don't carry purses but I have no problem admitting to a handbag fetish; I have a small collection that never leaves my bedroom. I laugh at myself (and you can too) and recognize the hedonistic guilty pleasure of them; they make me feel good.
One such bag is a Kate Spade given to me about 2 years ago. I went gaga when I saw a friend with it and she readily gifted it to me. She has more handbags than I have shoes, which is saying something, and this still looks brand new. I had forgotten about this thread. When it popped up on my screen, I took the gorgeous cream and black bag off it's hook and opened it up. Inside? A seashell I got at a wedding that same summer and stashed in the welcoming confines of the cream and black lining. Sigh. |

I bought another Black purse-type-bag, the other day, because the other black leather bag I had, the strap broke. This one seems better, I think.
The interior has three separate areas and mesh netting pocket's for personal stuff. I can now carry most anything of importance that I might need. Right now, it's on the light side (lol): Wallet, coin change purse, professional sterling silver card holders (with ID, etc), an empty Celestial Seasoning's Tea box tin filled with spare meds, recent medical papers in an separate office folder, AAA service packet folder, three favorite pens, house key and mace and flashlight on one key ring, car keys separately on their own sparkly leash, my Versace eyeglass case with cleaning cloth, and an satin draw string bag I keep to store my shades in. An envelope with current important merchandise receipts, and... a small cache of Kleenex tissues, moisturizer, lipstick and an tiny envelope of tooth-pic floss thingy's. Oh, and depending on where I am going, I might need to take USB cords and charger units for the laptop and phone, so there's an separate mesh net bag to store them in (on the back side of the purse) in its own compartment.

Ruby Tuesday fainted in the parking lot @ Jantzen Beach, right after I got through driving down beside the Columbia River, earlier today. She's at the family Mechanic's garage and she'll be healed by Saturday. Or else, LOL! And, sometimes I do that too -- write down numbers or code type stuff and forget what they belong too. Cash, is always good to have on hand. For sure.
