Tonight it is a friend's pre-wedding party, I'm making:

Thin chicken cutlets, with a tequila lime dry rub, marinaded for a day in olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper; grilled.

Fresh guac & chips

Zucchini two-ways

thin sliced rounds marinaded in a parmesan, garlic dressing - grilled and topped with a tiny sprinkle of aged pecorino romano

and carpaccio style sliced paper thin, squeeze of fresh lemon, drizzle of this http://fioreoliveoils.com/site/index...251&Itemid=185 and a sprinkling of capers.

in fact all weekend long I'm going to find creative ways to try that sicilian lemon white balsamic vinegar...a spinach salad, toasted pine nuts and a homemade sicilian lemon balsamic and tuscan herb olive oil dressing, maybe grilled sea bass filets with diced peaches, capers and basted with the balsamic ...a tiny drizzle over homemade blackberry granita...

I had a nice salad before work....then i was feeling peckish....while rooting in my purse for a jolly rancher, I found some trex mix I had gotten at trader joes and forgotten about....lol my purse is like mary poppin's...you just never know what you're gonna find in there

I made a huge pot of black bean soup. This stuff is da bomb! It has diced tomatoes, chili powder, onions, garlic and shredded pieces of fresh collard greens. I will have a bowl of this along with some hoecakes.
