It's 5 degrees here with no wind. Really still and quiet outside. Maybe we got a foot of snow. The highways were closed until 8am - but still, I hope people are smart and stay off of them. It's COLD and the risk of ice is great.

7 inches of snow here and it has stopped, but the wind is up to 35 mph causing a lot of drifting. Not sure of the temp but the local weather stations are reporting about 0 with the wind chill factor. Brrrr Glad I am home today.

If you let the water run out of the tap just a little it will help the pipe from not freezing because the water is moving through the pipe.

The snow is already starting. We're expecting 7-12 inches by morning. The high tomorrow is expected to be 5f without the wind chill factor. Getting up at 5am will suck big time!

24 hrs ago .. we had warning of heavy snow fall with very low temperatures

Now 24 hrs later - freezing rain warnings. Current temperature 0˚, followed by sudden dip in temperature.

We can do without another round of freezing rain. ..

Currently in East Tx it's 37*F feels like 28 with the windchill. Tonight it will get down to 17 and feel like 0* if not lower. The winds are nasty out today, probably around 25-30 mph.
This Russian/Arctic cold front is horrid.
My ex in Illinois says it's going to be -10 in the morning WithOUT the windchill factor and she's hoping work will be closed and have the day off. It's horrid outside for many folks up north. I feel for all of y'all.
