Sunday...

slow start with tea for Rooster, coffee for me and time playing games on computer
cleaned pool and added chlorine
finished last load of laundry
went out to lunch with Rooster - he ate a massive Kobe beef burger (1/2 lb plus bacon and other stuff)
Home Depot - mulch ring for avocado tree, a few plants, picked and got a paint color for the other bedroom...kind of a Caribbean Blue...brighter than I would have picked but it should look nice
baked a banana cake
put chicken in the pot to start stock for tomorrow's cream of chicken and rice soup
talked to mom on the phone...good days and bad days
called best friend but she wasn't home (bummer), left a message
watched more Dr. Who with Rooster
cleaned cat box
fed and watered critters
unloaded and reloaded dishwasher
light supper of tuna salad, crackers and olives...we're still full from lunch!
time playing game online
picked up last of wallpaper we stripped, into trash bags and out to the garbage
retrieved a naughty kitty off the roof
went to bed

Got out of bed, begrudgingly
Tried not to cry
Took a shower, making sure not to brush against her
Cried softly for a short bit before she noticed and begged me to stop
Got dressed and finished packing
Missed our flight from Vegas to OKC , got put on stand-by
Sent to another gate
THAT flight was full
Sent to another gate

Walked I swear a mile in Las Vegas airport over all before we got to our final gate! But I was thankful for the distraction.

Flew from Vegas to Lubbock, Texas
From Lubbock, Texas to Dallas, Texas
From Dallas, Texas to Oklahoma City...finally!

In and amongst all this mess, I've had to fight the tears and the heartache so this day feels like it has been very very long.

I've started the finger food for Saturday nights party at a friend's (NOT with real finger, I must add! LOL!) and started two soups for then, too..

I was asked by a friend's sister if I could make a peasant blouse for as part of her Historical Re-enactment costume. She is an SSBBW and these blouses would cost her over £100 for two custom made profesionally.

I reluctantly greed - I'm not great at designing clothes. I adapted a pattern from a French Pirate Wench costume I have and made a template, adjusted the measurements for her sizing, then made a mock up of the blouse and........It looks really good, even if I do say so myself!

Two blouses will be made this weekend at a fraction of the cost she was quoted - I hope she likes them!

cleaned the gerbils cage
let the gerbils out to play for awhile in their playpen

& then headed to the firehouse to run the overnight shift

Yesterday...

coffee, tea and breakfast made
packed Rooster's school lunch
took him to school
fed and watered critters
did pool care
cleaned litter box
made bed
emptied dishwasher and put stuff away
load of laundry through washer, dryer, folded and put away
work for work....tons of conference calls, spreadsheets, and one late call at the last minute after work hours...grrrrr!
showed up for overdue mammogram (ouch) and ultrasound
painted in the other bedroom...almost done with trim and first coat...looking fantastic (Rooster is working side by side with me on this and doing a great job)
ordered pizza and breadsticks for dinner
fought with ComCast...our cable is out AGAIN
played online....I confess....it's ToonTown....just helps keep the kid in me alive and breathing
