What Are You Thankful For?

I’m thankful for long time friends here at home and here in this community, and I’m especially thankful for the fact that people I know and am friends with are cut from the same cloth(we care about each other and help tend to our lives in healthy positive ways). Our “flaws” may be stitched together to form who we are (referencing A. Burroughs), but we’re sincere and genuine in who we are.

I’m very thankful that I have been a reliable employee who rarely misses work (for any reason). This past week I took an important step toward not working so much: I’ve reduced my hours of work availability, although I’m still going to work about 20hrs a week. I’ve finally transitioned to my Social Security benefits (which I’ve paid into my entire working life of over 50 years).

I’ve got a small side hustle, if you will. In my spare time I practice crafting art, works of sewing, and card making (not to be mailed because I’m not supporting USPS ever) to be given as personal gifts tendered by hand.

So,,,,,, less work, more play, more time to enjoy life to the max.
