Growing up we never had Christmas lights on our house. I guess my Dad thought the color wheel was light enough. Anyways..I thought we needed more outside decorations. I started to paint our picture window. Snowmen, trees..stuff like that. Well word got out, (thanks to Mom). I was commissioned to paint the windows at the beauty shop she worked at.

The shop owner also paid me to decorate her home Christmas tree. $$

I entered a Christmas tree decorating contest and won a Blue ribbon. 🏅

My bestie and I, in our twentysomething, wide awake..(shhh, I'm sure it was drug induced. Lol) We thought we needed a Christmas tree. We found a lot and took a tree, and we left money and a note on the trailer that was parked there.

I won first place in a Christmas Cookie contest. Carmel apple cookies. I was the last entry.

There, 5 things about my Christmas spirit!!🎄🎄

1) I am deathly allergic to all sea food, especially shell fish. I am lucky to be alive today. That is what the ER doc said last night.


2) I sometimes parade around in Rico's gorgeous button down dress shirts or will borrow his pj's sometimes.

3) I am closer to my goal for buying a new hybrid E-car.

4) I plan to take a medical retirment from work in two short years.

5) Rico is my best and last love, in this life. We both adore each orher and have never really struggled on any troubles we might face in life. He is my North Star. My guiding light. My saving grace. ♥️

I'm hooked on watching car chases. Adrenaline rush.

I've spent hours watching court TV. Live trials.
I find the way lawyers get testimony from their witnesses, very fascinating. I learn so much technical, medical, protocol and random forensics.

I've dated a LA detective.

I've been robbed at gun point. ( more than once, work related)

I've been on a criminal and a civil jury.

I have a silky named Milo. I love him. He is awesome.

My fiance and I currently live 3 hours apart because of our work.

I am the Director of Ambulatory Programs for a healthcare organization.

I am an adjunct professor at one of the state universities.

I am a consultant for a skilled nursing facility.

1) Stormy weather affects my body in terrible ways due to my health condition (ostero-arthritis).

2) I walk what seems to be a bazillion miles a day (at work).

3) I waited years for a wonderful partner. I have one now.

4) My sweet, lovely man is nine years younger than me. He's so awesome. I'm madly in love with him.

5) My love took me out for an evening of fun (dinner and snuggle, cuddle time) on my birthday and spoiled me to the high heavens with affection and his sweet attention.

I have had many different kinds of jobs

My first job was at the gas pumps, pumpin gas and cleaning windows. I was 16.

I graduated from nursing school and went to work with the elderly

I worked for a collection agency for body shop

I trained and worked at lost prevention registered with the OPP police

I worked at an animal clinic for 12 years (fav. job in life, but politics)

I went back to school and graduated with a double BA @ university

I registered with the Canadian addictions and counsellors association, worked till I retired in a counselling situation. (7 jobs, sorry)

I can probably count the number of fiction books read on one hand.

When I graduated from Nursing school, went immediately into Trauma ICU nursing, then Nursing Supervision after five years.

Have a tuxedo cat named Che and a Calico named Calliope (pron. Cowl e ope

I'm a PETA, ACLU, and NARAL member who is vegan.

— 1) I am a very shy person, with trust issues; and while it might appear that I’m very vocal (in written form, I am), but verbally I’m not. I’m a very quiet person who is becoming more and more introverted as the years go by.

— 2) I am a visual learner. I quietly watch to learn all I can. Observation skills are probably one of the sharpest tools in my mental acuity chest.

— 3) My auditory skills are exceptional. My ability to hear exceeds normal hearing parameters.

— 4) I don’t believe in the concept of forgiveness. But once I’ve been “burned” by someone, you will most likely end up on my “unforgiven” list (permanently).

— 5) I’m grateful for certain friends I have in life who come from professional backgrounds in the healing sector. I feel blessed by these particular people in my life because I know they genuinely care about me. I return the professional courtesy by contributing toward the health and wellness of their lives.

— 6) Spring, summer and fall are favorite seasons of each year. I like winter, but not in the same vein as spring, summer or fall.

— 7) I have no idea if I will ever entertain a loving (romantic) relationship ever again. I’m definitely taking all the time I need to care for myself after my serious breakup with someone I thought I’d spend the end of my life with. I know it will be a very long time before I can move forward from the ashes of my breakup. I believe in nurturing myself into wholeness of my own and shoring up my ability to be resilient. New adventures and crafty goodness will help me to recover and move forward. ☺️

I’m a strong willed woman, and when I attach myself to an idea, I don’t let go of it. This is proven to be both good and bad in my life.

And even though I am at ease in front of a large audience, giving a speech, but if I have to do one on one in a new situation with a new person, it is incredibly uncomfortable for me

And people don’t realize how sensitive I am. Someone once commented about a physical feature of mine and to this day, I fret about it. I don’t talk about it. But in my head, I feel less worthy because of it. But because I don’t talk about it, people don’t realize that i am sensitive about it.

Speaking of flaws….

When I was younger, I used to collect flaws, like dogs would collect sticks, walking around with them like they were some kind of prize, never realizing they were just sticks. I would often beat myself up with these sticks too. But the good thing about getting older is that you just see them as sticks and you can lay them down anytime you want. Or you can whittle at them and change their form somewhat make them something useful. I pretty much have my sticks under control now.

I hate the smell of vanilla. I don’t know why, but I have a knee-jerk reaction to it. I can eat vanilla, but I don’t like the smell of it.

I use to have snakes and mice

I have had at least 6 different types of jobs

I rarely eat sweets like ice cream, candy, chocolate, pies, drinks. except ice Tea.

I truly like a lot of lemon, sour cherry, blueberry with no added sugar.

I abhor turkey but love chicken, duck, goose and partridge.
