Okay, here's a moment when childhood songs are better left with the made up lyrics that we know.

Interestingly enough, I was singing On Top of Old Smokey this evening (my own version obviously) when It came to my attention that the lyrics were not right. "Huh", I said.

(My version of the song:On top of sphaghetti all covered with cheese, I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneezed. They go on but I think you all get the gist)

So, with the internet ever available I did a wee bit of a search. And what did I find?

I went to a mini Pride parade today. By mini I mean the parade was small not the people marching in it.

I'm tired. That is all. April became our hell month at work. 12-hour day today with about five of it driving. Next week is even worse. Can you say NASCAR ... in our town? *sigh*

I used to live in Daytona Beach, and when Nascar came to town, I didn't drive my car. Traffic was too insane for that, as I lived on Bill France Blvd, so I rode my bike everywhere for a week. My hammies were TIGHT!

No doubt! I worked retail during that time and the Nascarians would completely demolish our stock. While it would be AWESOME to get into the press box and actually see the whole darn race, I can only imagine the workload that goes into covering it. Have fun!
