For the first time in five years, the company I've been with a relatively short period of time as the health, safety and environmental manager, has a recordable injury rate in the single digits for the same year to date period, January - June.
This makes me smile because it tells me that the change management plan for changing the overall safety culture I've put in place is working, and my boys are working safer than they have in a very long time. Of course, I still have some hard-heads out there that I have to battle constantly about safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and other basic safety principles, but I will win them over soon enough! I think sometimes they underestimate my tenacity, lol. Glynn |

Thinking about....
During and after a really difficult, frustrating and "trying" evening yesterday... the respect, dignity, sense of team work and kind friendly affection I received from the friends and family around me, really made me smile... plus we had a lot of fun and jokes after the difficult stuff was said and done. Team Work, Friendship, Laughter and Affection turned my bad day into a good one.
