READ: the anti-gallery ( gallery is broken) perv thread

All-

If you come here looking for the gallery thread, it has been deleted.

After days of members posting multiple huge photos and treating this thread like a free-for-all, two of my Moderators came to this thread hoping to keep things under control by encouraging people to be reasonable about the number and size of photos that were being posted.

Someone not only then stepped to one of my Moderators but then I began receiving reported posts about the discussion devolving into grossness.

So, being that I am not going to subject myself or any of my Moderators to a Sunday full of reported posts and wrangling, or members thinking that they get to step back to a Moderator after they tap the thread, the gallery thread has been deleted.

I don't want to see any more gallery threads pop up on this site, nor do I want to see members using threads as galleries for personal photos, nor do I want to see any of the drama that happened in the last several posts of the thread carried over to other parts of the forum or the chat room.

I am still working on our galleries. To date, I have put in about 60 hours on this issue and expect several more today. Once our galleries are back up (eta: somewhere in the next couple of days), you will once again be free to post photos. As always free members will have 5-10 photos depending on size with paid memberships offering more space.

Please remember that this site is a community and whether you have a paid membership or not, you are responsible for treating this space with respect. That includes treating my Moderators, who volunteer their time and efforts without a single dime in pay, with respect. That also includes treating each other with respect.

I don't think what we are asking of people is unreasonable.

Thank you to every member who uses this site with respect and integrity and for helping us become the most active site on the web for our community.
