Bernie. I got Rand Paul for some stuff. I think that is because I am extremely pro-privacy/anti-surveillance. But 97% Bernie on the vast majority of issues. No surprise there.
Cool survey.

....I side with Bernie Sanders on 93% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election.... The next two were Hillary Clinton and then Martin O'Malley. The republicans were all under 30%.
I really liked this. I found myself answering and giving my opinion on the right side of the result page lol.....The questions kept coming and asking me why I believe the way I do. I saved it, I hope I can answer more in the future lol it is almost 3 a.m. I also learned that I side with the Green Party 93% of the time, Democrats 86% , Socialist 85%, Libertarians 34%, Constitution Party 18% and Republicans 5% of the time. Very interesting site*S ^5 Martina *S seems we think quite a bit alike and again thank-you Virago (V)*S..Have a good day as you awake.

The first time I had Clinton, Sanders, O'Malley and <gulp> Trump in that order. The second time I had Clinton, Sanders and <gulp> Rubio This time I have Sanders 85%, Clinton 83%, O'Malley 64%, <gulp> Trump 62%, Paul 59%, Bush 54%, Cruz 52%, Carson 31% A lot of these issues are still a work in progress for me. As I learn more I change my position. I am interested to see how I do on this again in a few weeks |

Survey says: Bernie Sanders
There is no reason to believe that any president elected will be of much use at all. Prior experience has shown us that the best we can hope for is a president that is committed to trying to do the least amount of damage to the average American as possible given the circumstance of a government that is controlled by a plutocracy. Bernie Sanders does give me hope. His record in Vermont, his consistency, his identification with socialism and so much more lead me to believe he might be/could be different and strong willed enough to be effective. But then I thought that about Obama as well and that didn't turn out to be the case. However there is no reason whatsoever to believe that Hillary would be able to untangle herself from big money long enough to do much good at all. And what can anyone say about Congress. It's more than useless to the American people. It is a hindrance to everyone. But there are some things that a president can do without Congress. POTUS is not a powerless position. Here are a couple of articles that talk about those things. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/1...thout-Congress Another article courtesy of a post by Orema in her thread 2016 Presidential Candidates. I hope she doesn't mind my borrowing the link. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/29/op...f=opinion&_r=1 |

Miss Tick, I agree that although we make a big long sometimes intolerable ordeal out of electing them, POTUS has little Power in our own country. Internationally, I think they have the power to do great harm or great good. Also they have the power of the "bully pulpit" which can sometimes effect significant change.
I am a Democrat, so I believe that our situation would be improved by having a Democratic majority in both houses. but what I am most anxious to have a democratic President for, it to put more liberal judges on the Supreme Court. Rumors are floating around that if Hillary is elected, AND an opening develops, she will nominate Barrack Obama for Justice. He is a constitutional scholar, and the man will be needing SOME kind of a job, after all. My own personal choice for the court would be Carolyn Kennedy. She is an attorney and a scholar, She has published books on Constitutional issues. She has spent most of her life in public service, and she is currently the Ambassador to Japan. Best of all she is young enough to be able to serve on the court for many years Smooches, Keri QUOTE=Miss Tick;1042072]Survey says: Bernie Sanders There is no reason to believe that any president elected will be of much use at all.
