If we are talking liquid foundation, Sephora perfecting cover foundation is really amazing, and if you are more of a compact girl, Mineral Compact Foundation at Sephora as well.

Thanks Princess. I will have to check that out. I just hate having that "melting" look at a couple of hours. Seems no matter what I use it happens.

try using a make up primer or makeup base! my face tends to get kind of sweaty when im wearing foundation, so i understand the melty look. the silicone in a makeup primer helps to hold the foundation in place...i use the base and then a powder over that for days like that...the powder doesnt melt off as quickly

Kiss My Face
I use maybelline lip stain and then put Kiss My Face mint chapstick over it. The mint is so melty it's almost a gloss so it has some sheen and keeps my lips soft. It's easier to apply with a fingertip than straight out of the tube.
Warn your butch lover before they try to apply it like regular chapstick and end up with globs of chapstick around their shiny lady lips. I made this mistake with my ex once. He was not a happy boi. |

if you're not happy with the shape of your lips, this is a great little tip to make it a bit fuller. Get a very good creme based concealer and very carefully redefine and make the perfect defined outline (for a fuller lip), concentrate on your cupid bow, take a brush and blend concealer into foundation then set with translucent powder,, then use a brush with your lipstick and fill then in (a brush gives you more control) and/or then a lipglass..it's amazing..no rilly, try it!

I'm a devotee of Urban Decay. I love their glosses and lipsticks. I also have some SmashBox.. Gave up my Mac to a friend - their reds just look funny on me..

The absolute best lip balm I've ever used is one you can easily make. You can buy her kit if you like or purchase you're own items in bulk. You can even buy the tubes or if you add more coconut butter (this is fantastic for your skins and lips) its softer and you need a little tin pot.
In the video she talks about lotion bars. Rubbing these in your hands or on skin. You can always add essential oils and if so inclined perhaps add color. At least its all natural. safe, won't dry your skin/lips out the way mineral oil based products can and no animal testing. Trust me once you use this you'll fall in love.

I'm a bit of a lipstick/gloss maniac, I have so many!
Currently my 3 favourites are: Revlon Just Bitten (Lip Stain) - it's not as bright as a lipstick, but still leaves a nice colour and stays put for long. I have it in some kind of fuchsia colour. http://www.revlon.com/Revlon-Home/Pr...Colorstay.aspx Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush. The colour is not particularly special, but I love this lipgloss because it smells amazing and tastes sweat and fruity. I'm always looking for lipglosses that actually taste sweet- they're very hard to find! (although my lovers never seem to like it I think) http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Sa...ame=vsdWrapper Barry M Lip Laquer. Not sure they stock them in the US? They're bright, very glittery and super girly- love it http://http://www.barrym.com/lip-lacquer-crayon P.S.: it would have been good to use "swatches" on skin to show how they look in real life.. |

For lipstick my fav is YSL Rouge Pur lipstick...goes on like velvet, smooth and creamy, yet stays put.
For gloss, I really like Loreal..it's dense, yet sheer and shiney. |

I make my own lipbalm that is awesome...but I don't color it. Maybe I'll start working on that...
My favorite lip/color/balm is Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm. It is spendy but really worth it! Just a touch of color but leaves your lips in beautiful condition.

I love so many different lipsticks but I looooooooooooove Korres lipsticks the best. They are like a gloss/lipstick in one. The color is a little sheer but you can build it. No drying or upset lips. I have eczema and sometimes get in on my mouth and the Korres lipsticks are the only ones I can wear when that happens.

The Lip Bar has the best lip gloss I have ever tried. The company is woman owned and makes vegan, cruelty-free products. They sell this in Target now too. Take a look.

In the Jan/Feb issue of Money Magazine I came across an article entitled Why Is Frida Kahlo On This $8 Nail Polish ? It appears reasonable priced and easily available (the article mentions CVS stores). It's a interesting article if anyone wants to read it but I'm curious if anyone has used any of the items in the cosmetic line and how they liked them? |

I do. I use this sheer matifying powder. It's oil free and has SPF. It lasts for most of the day, but if I go out in the evening I have to reapply it. I like it because it is very lightweight. http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...ategoryId=5337
