i've watched the videos. i've never heard the sound in person. it reminds me of a chip mill. and there's a game called phlinx, ... the game has a sound like this.

A fue days ago I was siting in the den with the patio door open,it was a cloudy and a bit windy so I coud hear the wind in the trees.After a while I became aware of a sound that has been going on for a bit,it was the sound of a small air plane flying kinda high up,what made me really intrested in timeing it was small planes just come and go then I dont hear it any more,this sound went on for nearly a half hour..then stoped.There wasnt a plane flying a pattern cause I would have noticed the range of sound as it flew.

Now that the weather is warmer and I'm out on the deck more, I still hear the booms that make the ground tremble late at night only. Thundering sounds(no rain) like very heavy loads dropping in the Earth.Maybe it's a train... I need to start asking folks around here if they hear it too

A friend was telling me the other night about hearing, what u all have been expressing.Now that i wil be off for the summer, I worked nights i;m going to pay attention to this and see if i canhear this rumbling . Very interesting..
