Tonight was so much fun... My ex whom Im good friends with her and her gf, we chilled at their house watching movies, and eating pizza. I was gonna spend the night, and go to church tomorrow, but, Im so exhasuted and just wanna rest... :)

I wish I were camping!! but no-one 'round here likes to "rough it" as rustic as I like my campsite! Give me my tent, hiking boots, my dog, my Arctic sleepingbag rated for 20* weather, a nice big warm fire that goes all night, a HUGE bag of marshmellers & stick, hot tea, some trail mix and warm PJs.... oh, and nanners to treat the dog. a couple other "necessities" and I am set to go!!
*Sweet does not pack the kitchen sink!*

Until I can go rustic.... I'll settle for a warm, cozy spot at home while I steal one TV remote from Blade so I can find something OTHER THAN football :cheesy:

It is really a bad day and night for tv. All sports and stupid movies!!! I like sports every now and again but for Pete's Sake all night Friday night all day today and more expected tomorrow. I refuse to get cable!!! and there is not a book in the house that I have not read. So what is a girl to do? Besides hang out with you guys? I do not like Winter either.

well, I just finished cleaning up the craft and office room from the holiday work. I could have screamed when I knocked over that bucket of teeny tiny black beads! I left them there until now to vaccum up. (I salvaged as many as I could) I cleared out the closets and am readying up to put a few things on ebay and queerbay. Its how I am going to fund my way to LR. Purses, jewelry, clothing and shoes will be going up. I have to get a tutorial on the camera and then I can post a few items this weekend. So tonight I am sorting out what will be sold....

I went dancing. We have a very active queer partner dance community here in the CA Bay Area. There are usually 150-200 dancers at the monthly dances of every age and queerness. Two different organization/groups do a dance, so there are usually 2 each month 2 weeks apart.

Well, I've not been feeling well so I decided to spend most of my day at home. Oranizing my desk, laundry, etc. Then I went to this LGBT dance at the Unitarian church. What a BLAST! Just got in from the bar. It was...interesting. Left a little early due to all the obnoxiously drunk straight guys loudly and rudely hitting on everyone. Wonder if they even realized it was a gay bar? I delight in the fact that my friend, the bartender, was in a no bullshit tolerance mood. I should've stuck around a little longer because it's always fun to watch her kick folks outta the bar...lol It was a pretty good night though. I got there early before the crowd hit so she and I chatted and got caught up on gossip since I hadn't been out in a while. :D

Tried to get it fixed yesterday, and again today, but just didn't have a big enough time slot available to fit in with the repair shop schedule, so I am still listening to metal on metal when I drive. I worked most of the day, then cooked dinner and have just felt so worn out all evening. Anyway, I've talked to a couple of friends on the phone and now I am sitting in bed (alone :bigcry:)watching "You've Got Mail" on TV.

Peaceful day. i am catsitting. It's always strange to be in someone else's home when they aren't there. i am here pretty much every weekend, but never when They aren't here.

I just brought the fur kids in from outside,its still hot and stuffy at 9:20pm.All I have done today is dink around on the puter,do laundry,spend hours on ancestry.com looking for the wayward people in my family..one thing is looking for them dose take some serching wich means time pokeing around in all kinds of documents..warning it can be adictive once you get started.I had a lo-fat lo- cal dinner,a bath so now im hear checking out the planet.

to bring in the new yr.. well ... at my friends farm.. cooking some chicken on the grill.. making some black eye peas.. and other sides.. .... and well though about driving to charlotte afterwards... which is almost a 2 hr drive..
but having secong thoughts. cuz i need a shower yet... and well ..... my co driver is pissed and pouting.. cuz we might just end up doing new yrs with my friends at the farm. *sigh*....... geeshh. im runnin out of energy here.. went for a hike.. getting groceries... now im making the dinner .. cuz my friend is moving hay bales around..... and ...... anyways....

New Year's will come quietly for me. I will make a quick trip to the store for sustainables and munchies and then it's home I go. I've got fake bubbly cuz I can't stand the real stuff and I'll have some stuff to nibble on and I'm sure one of my neighbors will come out and have some fun.

Hellow ladies,nice to see someone is hear,looks like u all have it planed out to see the ole year out and the new one in.Im celebrateing new years lunch/dinner dependes one wich one is the holiday meal...tonight for dinner cause my son and his buddys have plans for tomorrow.
I cooked t-bone steak,green beans and red potatoes with a chunk of ham choped to bits along with some sweet onion not to mention cajun seasonings.I also made some garlic bread from scratch.All was good but since ive been a bit down with stomach crud(food poision from who knows where)my appetite isnt up to par.Anywho u all have agreat weekend and be safe.

Went shopping earlier to get warm pj's for my grandson, but now I'm taking turns vacuuming and listening to beloved old music from the 70's. I listen to an album (well I may also repeat a song or two, LOL) and them I vacuum a room. So far I've been listening to Meg Christian and Chris Williamson. I started on youtube, but then when I couldn't get it loud enough to make me happy, I got out my old albums and I'm listening to to them on my turntable. For the youngones among you, an album is a disc of vinyl - the precurser to the CD and a turntable is what you used to play them on. They were VERY cool. Anyway, I'm having a ball all by myself, and I hope you are too whatever you are doing.

Went to auction looking for a dresser and to people watch.... it was a packed house! ...didn't get dresser, many of them went too high.....but got a nice, huge cedar chest for $20, a new Tupperware cupcake carrier, new glass baking dish with woven basket and hot/cold packs, and a sculpture of a puppy with long loopy ears that reminded me of a dearly departed old furbaby.... then I called Blade to bring the truck for the cedar chest. He kindly delivered it to my house ... then later I enjoyed getting back to working on a copper etching ....just listening to the rain now...

i normally have pretty quiet weekends, but this is more quiet than usual. My car isn't working, and i am stranded (sort of) about an hour and a half from home (near where i work). i am in a motel. i am fine. Lying here watching Run Silent, Run Deep. i have an appt to get it fixed Monday. But i'd rather be home in my lovely house with my lovely cats. i also am missing an evening hanging out with a friend and a coffee conversation with a planet person (was looking forward to meeting her). Sigh.

Oh well. i will get a lot of work done.

After getting pissed at my washing machine and string of bad luck....I enjoyed a lovely evening with friends at a local coffee shop, enjoyed very much being treated to the best vanilla latte and hot apple cider, was so happy to see a certain friend (who's been ill) in such good spirits, relaxed from all my pent up stress, completely enjoyed company and conversation with a close friend, shared my new puppy and watched all their smiles...she lights up their faces, sat outside with the group till my feet froze.. but time with friends is good for the heart and a wonderful distraction ....
