Just relaxing now, but my son set up a new remote to work with my DVD player so no more computer monitor - tonight a movie date with the big screen. Between now and then - play on the computer, wash some clothes, run a load of dishes. If Monte wakes up before I settle down to watch National Lampoon's Vacation, then mini groom the cat/do his weekly flea check. He's never had fleas so far but that doesn't mean he will never get them and if he does, clearing them up I want to get right on that. Anyhow unless I'm some sort of caped crusader or double agent I don't know about, this is it – my life of excitement and danger for the evening.

Keeping up with the news, waiting to see what if anything might come up regarding the Meuller report. Probably nothing of substance until Mon or Tue but keeping a close watch on things anyway just in case. It's pretty low key around here this evening. I'm nursing a cold and Monte has been acting like he's feeling a bit under the weather too. So no chores, no projects – just medicating and relaxing for the both of us. For a minute I felt a bit of a sweep of self-pity wash over me, because being single there's no one to make soup for me. But then I remembered the last woman who made me soup when I was sick and suddenly it felt great to be single and ill and all by myself with only the cat to comfort me.

It's a cold, damp, rainy night here on Green Acres so I'll be staying put!

I've got some correspondence to catch up on, also write out a few Easter cards to get out in the mail first thing Monday morning, then either reading or watching something on the telly!

I notice HBO is re-running the 1st season of Big Little Lies in preparation for season 2. If you haven't read the book, may I suggest doing so? It gives a lot more background on these individuals and will help you get a clearer reason why who did what to whom at the end of season 1........:scarytv:

Last night was fairly chill. I moved a student desk into my garage to be sanded and repainted before it comes back home but other than that, I had dinner and watched a little TV and played with the babies.

Oh, the litter bag did break as I was tossing it into the dumpster so I had to sweep that up. That was a little gross but didn't take much effort. That was the excitement of the evening, sadly.

Relaxing and drinking lots of water after being out in the sun all day.

We had a huge storm blow through here about an hour ago. Heavy winds, thunder, lightening. A mid size tree fell in my yard. Thankfully avoided doing any damage.

The storm brought down the heat so that's good...

Backyard campout with the two great nephews. We played hide and go seek. They love when I am the seeker because they say I'm scary. I usually carry a fire stick and call out that I am coming for them. Tonight I scared one with the story about the couple on a deserted back road and they end up finding a bloody hook on the car door. I guess that was a little much. :|

Now they are asleep in the tent and I am enjoying the fire.

I don't get any sleep last night, this morning or afternoon. It was tough getting a pick up time for order I placed for groceries on Walmart. Delivery wasn't even an option so had to secure a pick up time. I've been working to pull this off for days with one setback after another. They were out of so many things. So I stayed up and started ordering one minute past midnight today to try and beat the crowds. You snooze you lose. I've been checking now and then tonight to make sure there isn't anything in stock I need, but wasn't available earlier. So that's helping me stay awake. Hungry but want to wait a little longer to eat so I don't blood sugar crash, get to bed too early or worse not hear confirmation request tomorrow. I'm going to play some online card games and listen to the news as well in hopes it will help. Wish me luck.

It has been a 45+ hour week. I tell myself I'm to old, yet I still am working hard. I'm amazing myself! I still have 4 more days before a day off is in sight.

Just relaxing, playing on the computer, listening to the news. Visited with my youngest grandson a bit earlier, finished up some batch cooking for the days ahead. Temps aren't supposed to climb into the 100s anytime soon but why take chances. The kids have set me up with access to more television shows and movies than I could ever possibly watch, even if I watched television every waking hour for the rest of my life and lived to be 100+ years old. So LOL I'll try and see if I can find something to watch later tonight to help take my mind off the riots.
