Awwwwww... Bianca was at the first show I'd ever attended at the old Cab down near Baptist Hospital. I also remember her at Connections (the former Fisherman's Warf?)

That is so sad to hear - I always think of her as iconic in the Nashville LGBTQI scene.

Just wanted to let You know that Spirit Dancer is going into Summit Hospital in the morning (Nashville) for tests (MRA & MRI among others. She had a stroke, they're pretty sure, and her BP is out of the roof. Considering the amount of stress she has been under, I can't say that I'm surprised.

How do ya'll do it?? Seriously, how? What kind of community do you have? How easy has it been for you to extend your circle of friends? Lastly, any kind of regular local meet-ups? Hey there! I have lived in Nashville for a lot of my life and never had a problem with community. We have lot's of friends and a huge support network, but most of us just know each other and do not have planned events as in regular meet ups. We do plan parties from time to time and see at least some of our friends at least weekly. Some of us have lunch, some of us dinner, some go to the BDSM club, some of us meet at each others homes for a movie. We love Nashville

We could definitely plan something if we have out of town visitors who think we are unprogressive! :)

As for where I want to move, the main thing is east from where I am now. I'm thinking probably Nashville - that would put me in a city I love and could call home, and be a lot closer to my folks in Chattanooga. I wouldn't be opposed to landing in Chattanooga either, but think work prospects would probably be better in Nashville.

I did not know Mugsy. But, i feel i was touched by her. The love that her friends have shared with so many of us. The devotion of those that were at her bedside...Snack, Billy, Tickledpink, Shad and the other people that made Mugsy a priority in her time of need, that says so much about a person's life and how they lived it.

I am proud to call those that were with her, prayed for her, sent her light and love, my friends.

There is no doubt Mugsy will be missed. I call her my friend by extention of our family.

Fly high and soar proud Mugsy.

If anyone likes old, custom, classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. This weekend September 15-19 is the Fall Grand Rod Run, in Pigeon Forge TN. If you've never been it is awesome. Don't be in a hurry, unless you are on foot. The UT/Florida game is in Florida this year so traffic won't be as bad, but it is still bumper to bumper from about 10 am to midnight on Saturday.

Oh the Tennessee Theater. What a marvelous place. I remember when the piano played before the movies that were played there. Showing my age here.

yeah i live in horn lake and go the the community center on cooper for book club and potluck, then we have a traveling lunch once a onth and a lez go event once a month, dont make it to everything but try to get there when i can. Great to see someone so close also!!
