I love fall weather. I do need to get organized with fall clothes and jackets.

I'm still no where near ready for closed toe shoes though. UGH.

We were very lucky over here on this side of the state....no cicadas. But, man oh man they sucked over there. Them things had no manners and would just fly up your nose or any oriface they could fine :|

So I'm in the new house in Powell/Halls. I've found that if I leave about 5 minutes after 7 I miss all 4 school zones I have to drive thru as I move down Emory Rd. If I'm just 5 minutes late, it takes me an extra 15 minutes to get to work. I mapped out a faster way, but haven't explored it yet.

I pulled the carpet up in the livingroom and next is the rest of the house , still have to stain and clear , but I like the hard wood floors better :) I like running the vac over the hard woods floors Myself :)

Congrats on the new place Pink! I'm still trying to get unpacked. I've been out of town on business 2 of the last 4 weeks so its really tough to get settled.

Next week is my house warming party, so if any of you from Knoxville, or Tennessee want to come, just send me an IM and I'll give you directions on how to get here. Most of my friends are good folks, and we love welcoming people! So come on!

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond. OMG even though I am domestically impaired I FELT like I could actually do a fondue so I bought two fondue pots for the party. Keep in mind I have burned soup, and I'm gonna try this. They didn't have fire extinguishers there.

Hi Cuddly I dont live in Nashville but I go there a lot, onjce a month... I wasnt there last December but their weather is sorta like here, Texas, maybe a little cooler...I know last December it did snow a bit which is unusual... temps in 30s and 40s....safe bet would be prepared with layers in case its a warmish day...sorry not much help but dont think anyone saw your question :)

And like all the other places down south, it changes almost daily. Some times on Christmas i've had my windows open to nice 60 degree weather. Some times it has been a white Christmas.

I would suggest waiting to closer to time and checking online or bringing warm and warmer things.

My sister and I have season tickets to the women's basketball games. I also try to hit at least one football game and one men's game too. Movies, bowling, and hanging out with friends and family. I know this kind of thing has a tendency to fizzle out or may get waylaid by a natural disaster or a million other reasons. Keeping in mind that we are all spread out and the cost of gas these days, work schedules, love life or lack of it, family/commitments, yada yada. I know, I understand -- Trust me! Hey Tn crowd!!!

We just got back from Pigeon Forge and that place is booming with peeps and things to do.

Just throwing some suggestions out there. If we picked there, the plus side is there is so much to do there from bungee jumping to shows to Dollywood to Dixie Stampede the list goes on. It would be cool for a big group of us to go go-cart riding or playing laser quest would be a trip. AND if we stayed there, we have a chalet nearby that sleeps 8. Just throwing that out there... The minus side is it may not be real convenient for peeps...just an idea.

Also, Chattanooga may be a good middle spot for everyone and they have a fabulous hotel there, The Chattanooga Choo Choo and some of the rooms are actually parts of a train that they have made into part of the hotel. They have a huge acquarium that is just magificent as well.

Just throwing out some ideas, of course Nashville has tons of things going on all of the time...

I'm agreeing w/you Belle in that the upside of meeting at Pride is two-fold: 1) we would definately have an awesome time and 2) we'd support our family and possibly meet up w/some folks we know and maybe a few we'd like to know. While I can't do the night before thang, 6/17 works for me. If y'all agree let us know - and if y'all have other suggestions, please don't be afraid to put them forth!

Choice A: Nashville Pride on June 17th or Choice B: Meet up in Knoxville, place as yet undetermined. Frankly, I think we'd have a really great time - doing either activity. I've been to the ones they had in St, Louis when I lived there. It was always packed. Hate to admit it but I'm not walking to good these days, so not so sure I could keep up with the crowd but that doesn't mean my lady couldn't go then I could meet everyone else later.

Ladyhawkxx - I'm from Chattanooga, lived there until I was 18 (went to Central High) then moved here to Memphis. I love it there. My folks are still there so I come into town occasionally. Whatcha do in Chattown?

LMAO... so here's the deal... Let's SKIP NASH PRIDE this year - and keep with the original plan. In case you've forgotten what the original plan is/was, here's a synopsis: We meet up in Knoxville - possibly a very cool eatery... i.e., Dave & Busters, where we can do the game thang, race car thangy and good food/drinks and get to know each other? It'll be way more intimate than Pride - and I think we could all let our hair down and just enjoy ourselves. I'm thinking, why not use the same date that Nashville is having Pride? Might help clear the town out a bit - making more room for US!!! LOLOL That date was 6/17 (or anywhere there abouts). Let me know your thoughts - and we'll go from here. Thanks Tenneessee!!

Yes, Apocalipstic has intimate knowledge of the chair lifts at Ober. :| Those were the days. :cigar2: I used to work there and have not been skiing since. :blink: or shoveling snow either for that matter.

Will check on June 17. I seldom hit Pride, but usually friends are in town and I hang after.

Sounds good ,the 16th would be better for us I think. Right now my gf is having surgery Friday so we will see how it goes from there if she will be up to it or not by then.
