She said some difficulty adjusting is normal, especially for first time users, but it shouldn't be prolonged and definitely should not hurt. I still had to get used to them after they came back but it was nothing like the first time. I never did get used to the line in my old glasses so I'm very happy about being able to wear my progressives comfortably. Next time I'm going to heed her advice though. I like the look of the glasses I have now but I can see how I will benefit from going with a larger frame. I don't know long it will take to adjust but if it persists I'd let your doc know if you haven't already. For me it was a minor tweak that made all the difference and now I love my progressives. Hopefully it proves to be the same for you. Some people just don't get used to them though and there's nothing wrong with that either. I actually like the look of glasses on people and pay more attention to the frames, type of haircut they have, or how they keep their nails than I do on lenses anyway. |
