I had problems with mine at first too. Fortunately my eye doc didn't just pat me on the head - say there there, and tell me if I just kept on keeping on the problem would resolve itself. She had her receptionist move her schedule around so she could re-examine me. Said though it sounded minor this is what I should avoid/do if things got worse. After re-examining me she was able to figure out what went wrong, sent my glasses back to the lab and had the problem fixed at no additional cost.

She said some difficulty adjusting is normal, especially for first time users, but it shouldn't be prolonged and definitely should not hurt. I still had to get used to them after they came back but it was nothing like the first time. I never did get used to the line in my old glasses so I'm very happy about being able to wear my progressives comfortably. Next time I'm going to heed her advice though. I like the look of the glasses I have now but I can see how I will benefit from going with a larger frame.

I don't know long it will take to adjust but if it persists I'd let your doc know if you haven't already. For me it was a minor tweak that made all the difference and now I love my progressives. Hopefully it proves to be the same for you. Some people just don't get used to them though and there's nothing wrong with that either. I actually like the look of glasses on people and pay more attention to the frames, type of haircut they have, or how they keep their nails than I do on lenses anyway.

Same. I had to have mine readjusted (the span for reading was far too little so I had to crane my head to read!). After I explained the problem (I thought at first it was just me but it WAS the glasses and the amount they had designated for distance (too much) and reading (too little). The lab took them back and expanded the reading portion higher up.

They do take some getting used to, but I love them now!

Are you able to use yours while using a computer? This is the worst part for me, because apparently progressive lenses assume one is looking down to read, which is not true when using a monitor.

My Cuban Honey Bunny spent all day and night, last Sunday, making me swooOooOoon ..... so, I called my favorite taxi driver who listens to the coolest music ever and asked her to make a special mix for me, to give to him on Valentines day. He's gonna swoon like he has never swooned before. I love surprising him when he least expects it (lolol ).

Yes I'm able to see well using progressives when on the computer. When they prescribe and make progressives they take into account what things you'll most often be using your glasses for. I actually have an easier time seeing when looking forward at my desktop monitor straight on than I do looking down at the screen my son's laptop.

That's good to know. I appreciate your help. I called today and made another appointment for Monday. They are going to redo the eye exam and send the glasses back for adjustment. This means another 2 week wait but it will be worth it if I can see.
