I use Prunes and Dates a lot to help sweeten or cover spinach, kale, or broccoli I have found nothing that will do much for a beet shake I keep trying to work out. Prunes have a lot of perks fiber, protein, low fat, vitamin K and several of the B's... I love smoothies makes my breakfast fast easy and mobile and keeps me from the likes of Jack in The Box, too bad it does not help when I am already out for the day and want In and Out.... Well now don't I sound like a commercial? Anyways hope it's helpful.
