It's kind of awesome and frightening at the same time, watching the show. You get to know the drivers as they tape and it takes a while because the truckers can only go a few miles an hour on thinner ice, as the vibrations from 30,000 pounds and up of truck shake the ice loose and create cracks in it. I haven't watched the show this season but I remember seeing one poor guy get one tired caught in an ice crack and it split wide open and his whole trailer and part of his bobcat was sucked down into that thing. He and the crew scrambled to get out and they showed a bit of that footage. Having ridden with a trucker for a couple of months, I find it absolutely amazing and terrifying at the same time.

I can wrap my head around most of these, but why not the pinot noir? Unless you don't drink at all, I don't think it's particularly threatening.

For someone who wouldn't touch a pens, that's quite remarkable

I suppose there's not a decent Pinot to be found in Georgia, my friend. lol. One really does need to search for a good one. When I first tried them, I didn't care for them either. Curiosity brought me to the Wine Spectator, and I found good ones listed there to try. I'd rather a French Burgundy or good California Cab.

I'm pretty sure many of us here have tasted that flavor at one point or another, willingly or not. I'm one of them. It's not a particularly easy flavor to forget, although...unlike rlin...I don't correlate it with pinot noir.
