A dramatization of the relationship between heart surgery pioneers Alfred Blalock and Vivien Thomas. I enjoyed the movie but the injustice to Mr. Thomas was a bit overwhelming to witness! |

Started watching The Rite (Anthony Hopkins 2011) the other night, and promptly fell asleep. Either it wasn't interesting enough to keep my interest or I was just worn out.

I remember watching that movie. It was slow...and difficult in many places. No this best movie for sure. The potential was there...just no follow through..

Hi everyone,
So firstly I saw Spotlight. I liked this film a lotn though it was for me maybe a tad hyped up. The film goes at a steady pace for a long time, slowly building up. Maybe it could have been shortened, but for me it was just right time wise to get you involved. There will be times in this film where you are just down right perplexed at. How this took so long to discover. If you are no a cinema goer, its not one you need to go for, but do get it out on dvd., So now Youth. I really did love this film, it wasn't what I imagined it would be, but in a good way. Its weird in some places, but this just endears you to it even more. Everyone who is in theis film is great acting wise. A real surprise, I wouldn't mind at all watching it a second time. Its sad, witty, and makes you think for sure about getting older and what life will hold for you. But it also tells you never to give up, do what u enjoy doing, bc life is too short. If I didn't have a unlimited membership at the cinema would I have gone to see it? Probably not, but I would watch it online for rent it when it comes out for sure. |

Both of these gave me "error play" messages and I can't see what movies they are. I use my iPad and unfortunately, this frequently happens for me.
Could folks put the name of the movies when you post videos, please? If it is possible, thanks so much.

I watched Secret in Their Eyes..
I liked it...but was often confused with the flashbacks. If it weren't for Nicole Kidman's pony tail I wouldn't have known what was when ....but I was also tired when I watched it...

London has Fallen
We enjoyed the action but it certainly is not Shakespeare. Premise is that terrorists unleash a series of attacks that leave the city of London fairly destroyed in their attempt to capture the president to punish him for a drone attack two years earlier. Starring Gerard Butler, and as President of the USA, Aaron Eckhart. Vice-president played by Morgan Freeman.

Saw this film yesterday and I loved it.
If you don't know who Eddie was, he was the first British ski jumper to enter the Olympic games for our nation. This is a story of guts, determination and some say down right madness. You go with him on his journey and you simply have to Love the guy by the end of it even if you thought he was nuts. It's a film that isn't too demanding but it isn't boring. Watch it when it comes out on dvd if you don't wanna go to the cinema to watch it. |

Hi there everyone.
So went to see these 2 films yesterday. Jungle Book was first. Really liked this film, was beautiful to watch. And the cgi wasn't invasive. They stick to the original film pretty well. I saw it in 3D Imax which for sure makes it a much richer viewing experience. There were just as many adults on their own as families together. You won't be disappointed. So now Eye In The Sky. This film is good but not the best film like this I have seen. Helen Mirren is great as always, as is the late Alan Rickman. The film really annoys the hell out of you for the large part, which is the point. This is because of all the protocol that as to be followed. The audience was groaning at the pure fact that is can and probably does happen in real life. Some of it seems to be a bit dramatic just to hang it out for a while longer. The film does however get the 2 valid points across. That these kinds of decisions are never as easy as people think. I would say personally that you could just watch this on dvd when it comes out. It's not one that is a must for a trip to the cinema. |

I saw The Jungle Book today and LOVED IT. Absolutely loved it.
The boy was great. For a first time actor who doesn't have other actors to work against, he did such a remarkable job. Everything but Mowgli is CG and it's fantastic. I love Ben Kingsley's voice anyway and he was awesome as Bagheera. So many good voice actors in this flick! If you like to see how movies like this are made, watch this. If you see it, stick around for the credits. They do a little something, pop up book style, with them. |

I just watched this and liked it, too. I really enjoyed watching the star, Louisa Krause. She was so good and believable. I liked the guy who played Jack, Gabriel Ebert. Most of the other characters (her family) were annoying, but she was a joy to watch. And she had a bullshit meter that was on the money.
Thanks for mentioning it. |

I did a double feature tonight. One was planned and one was a surprise.
I saw The Huntsman: Winter War tonight and it was as expected. Visually stunning and pretty fast paced fight scenes blended with twisted fairy tale fantasy. I enjoyed it although I think the advertising is a tad bit misleading. This trailer is the best I could find at describing the movie although the movie guy is wrong. It's not 'the story before Snow White'....it's the story before and after Snow White. Semantics, but still. Plus, I'm a fan of Emily Blunt and she was stunning. Then I made a snap judgment to stay for Criminal. I'd originally planned to wait until it came out on Redbox to see but I'm glad I opted to see it tonight. It's really well done, also fast paced and Kevin Costner's still doing a pretty good job even though he's a codger now. Plus I'm a big fan of Ryan Reynolds and he was as charming as he could be, given the situation. |

Yesterday was a good movie day.
I saw these movies and enjoyed both immensely. It's got action and great special effects and introduces us to some previously known Marvel characters in a different light. It flowed very well and didn't feel like I sat there for 2 and a half hours. Two thumbs for those that like Marvel and those that like action. It stars Julia Roberts and George Clooney and is directed by Jodie Foster. While that was what interested me, the story itself is a mirror to how things work in this world we've built for ourselves. The ending gutted me a bit but that's how it is. If you see it, you will know what I mean. Two thumbs up as well. |

I caught two movies and enjoyed both.
First, I saw this movie. I never played the game so I only had the trailers to go by and it was adorable. You can't go wrong with the voice actors, either. This one was more slow and had more heart. More meddling too. Definitely more meddling. Rose and Susan and JK were great, but it did move slow at first. |
