i work with this guy who i find a bit odd
he's the friendliest guy but he doesn't get my sense of humor so i'm sure he thinks i am a bit odd

today he was telling me about a piece of jewelry he bought for his girlfriend
he described it as his girlfriend's name made into a custom jeweled necklace and it came with a stuffed bear to gift it in.

he told me his girlfriend's mother and sister complimented him on his selection and said they had never seen anything sparkle as much.

he told me it was the most expensive piece of jewelry he had ever bought for a woman

i said "oh yeah - because of the bear"

he looked at me like i was out of my mind and said with all seriousness
"no - because of all the jewels"

Good discussion with my boss today on a possible vacancy within the company I might be able to fill. Also, a great lead on a position I'm qualified at a local university and my boss is going to give them a glowing recommendation if they all. So yay for the Universe opening some windows
