You are not mistaken. The same school continued to win and place high in the same robotics competition for several years. The last shot of the school in the movie showed the years that they won from 2004 forward on the front of the building.

I just watched "Fruitvale Station" I don't know why I didn't watch it earlier.

Until recently I lived in and around the area. It was strange to see all the familiar places in a film.
I was there when the events happened and it only seems like yesterday.

Weirdly homesick.

Stories We Tell (Sarah Polley) Canadian

In Stories We Tell, Sarah Polley plays with the documentary format to explore the nature of memory and storytelling, crafting a thoughtful, compelling narrative that unfolds like a mystery. This was an interesting movie, however I'm still perplexed if this was her story OR just a story, otherwise check it out and see what you think

Straight Outta Compton.

I loved this movie. The writing was excellent and the music fantastic.

The GF does not really like rap and also really liked it.

Very worth seeing. It was like a time capsule of the period.

I wish the excesses of the police of the time were also a thing of the past but we know that is not true. It felt so shameful watching it, just as it does now.

Loved the slow pace, small details, and character development. It seems so counter to most movies today.

I loved this as well. The actors were so good. Was surreal seeing Cube's son as him , that worked out perfectly. Also an important message about a number of issues were conveyed through this film as it was about so much more than just nostalgic gangsta rap.

Was a little bizarre seeing a guy my friends and I went to high school with as an actor in the opening scene.

I haven't seen this yet but have seen the trailor on yahoo. Its called The Daineish Girl staring Eddie Redmain, He plays a man who became s a trans woman. He is married in the show and she stays with him as well as assist him in transition.. There are lots of twist and turns in the movie. Not sure it will be shown in the states but If the short blurp I saw was this good the rest will be worth seeing...check out yahoo to find it.
