I have mixed feelings about this. The acting was very good by most, especially the two daughters, but Ruffalo's character—a bi-polar man—was annoying to me. Also annoying was the brief reference on race—that made no sense at all considering this was an interracial family living in Boston in the 1970s.

Apart from that, it was a good film about some of the ups and downs some people experience when a member of the family is bi-polar.

The Jungle Book, though I fell half way through and missed the rest! Prior to that we saw The Boss and it was AWESOME!

A film bursting at the seams with class A actors usually goes either way...really good or really bad! This one is a rare example of sitting on the fence of those two choices. Suffice to say I enjoy it, the acting was solid and characters believable but I was left wanting more from the plot which would of made me care a little more if these characters lived or died.

I rented this last night. I thought it would be a good background movie while I did crafts and household chores, plus there's sushi and who doesn't love ?

I thought wrong because neither my crafts nor my chores got more than a minute's attention during the movie.

Though it was a bit slow in the beginning, I felt for the main character right away. She is struggling and I know that feeling. She's got grit and drive and the actress really embodied that. It's two thumbs up from me and a lot of other people too, as it's won many Indie awards.

The documentary is the story of Tower Records, which was founded in 1960-1961 in Sacramento.

They evolved from 45's and albums to cassettes and then onto CD's.

In 1999, they had sales of over one billion dollars.

They expanded to international markets and overextended the business. Then Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. started selling CD's.

When the digital revolution came, Tower jumped on it "not knowing it would lead to their own demise".

Then came Napster.

"How can you compete with free music?"

In 2004, they filed for bankruptcy.

I caught this on Bill Maher. I look forward to watching Michael Moore's documentary. I have always liked Michael Moore and his documentaries. Warning: Some may find this offensive as he talks about Donald Trump at the end in a not so favorable way. He is also a Bernie Sanders supporter. I don't want to and try not to offend people.

Yesterday was a good movie day.

I saw these movies and enjoyed both immensely.

It's got action and great special effects and introduces us to some previously known Marvel characters in a different light. It flowed very well and didn't feel like I sat there for 2 and a half hours. Two thumbs for those that like Marvel and those that like action.

It stars Julia Roberts and George Clooney and is directed by Jodie Foster. While that was what interested me, the story itself is a mirror to how things work in this world we've built for ourselves. The ending gutted me a bit but that's how it is. If you see it, you will know what I mean. Two thumbs up as well.

Glory is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This movie has some controversial moments at the same time I have witnessed some of the controversial moments in reality. I did find the movie heartwarming, emotional and bittersweet and much more.

A guy wanted around town by various hit men hopes to stay alive long enough for his life insurance policy to kick in and pay out for his estranged daughter.

I found this movie to be okay. I do like Vince Vaughn.

The Witch

Creepy to the max but I can't say I really liked it. Rotten Tomatoes critics gave it 90% and viewers gave it a 55%.

Basic premise is that a family is torn apart by the forces of witchcraft, black magic and possession but mainly at its heart, is a deep-seated paranoia relative to the times in which they lived. It is set in New England in 1630.

I kept thinking: "How did they live in all that dirt?"

I caught two movies and enjoyed both.

First, I saw this movie.

I never played the game so I only had the trailers to go by and it was adorable. You can't go wrong with the voice actors, either.

This one was more slow and had more heart. More meddling too. Definitely more meddling. Rose and Susan and JK were great, but it did move slow at first.
