Really good. Just got over a "hump" in a work project and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I might even be able to have a stay-cation and take next week off.

Exhausted....
A family friend life-flighted today after accident this morning...hit by stone-hauling truck head on. My cousin in critical unit from accident later this afternoon...lucky to be alive since their car was hit by tractor trailer & median sent them back under the trailer. Mom @ ER now. Dad just having supper @ 10 pm. Still need to put both parents to bed and get them settled once Mom gets home then make my own bed before crawling in. *sighs* |

I feel like I am finally making some progress. Had appointment at wound center today. For the first time, the doc had some positive, though guarded, things to say about this hole in my shin.
Doc told me it should be good in about three more months. He said the exact thing 2 weeks ago. I wanted to say "10 weeks" but didn't. And he commented while he was scraping it, "you really knocked the hell out of this shin." The pain has decreased a great deal except when he scrapes it out or I bump it into something. I cannot begin to say how thankful I am that the severe pain is exiting for the most part!!!! Who could know ... still having to baby this thing ... and it happened March 11th. Anyway, I am doing the Happy Stone Butch Dance over the progress.
