I am addicted to buying books and magazines, a lot more than I can manage to read, so they pile up on my shelves and tables. This causes problems when I move - I don't have a car.

I was raised to believe that respect is expected for those who earn it and social etiquette is a form respect.

These days I think that I am in the minority for these old ideals.

I could not agree more! Isn't the younger generation teaching their kids manners? No 'please' or 'thank you'. it drives me up a wall as well!

Thanks buddy, unfortunately I think that the issue is not limited to young folks.

Hearing someone on their PHONE being verbal abusive! More than not, it's a call dealing with customer service and even tho that can be hellish just remember you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!

I am too caught up in the idea with "saving" people I care about, even when they don't need/want me to help. Trying to learn to disassociate myself with situations that aren't really any of my business. Harder than it looks.
