Earlier this summer, I was looking for a gift for a friend. At Toys R Us I inquired as to where they kept the Erector Sets. This very nice early 20s girls thought for a minute and said "I've never heard of that." I fought with myself and my better side won, so I didn't strangle her then and there.
I start to describe what I'm looking for thinking maybe the name has changed. She finally got the idea and directed me to an aisle. There isn't a brand name "Erector Set" anymore. And they're way more complicated than that used to be. And for reasons I don't understand I can't get the picture inserted here.
