Like EZ mentioned, there's a difference between plain deodorant and antiperspirant and they work differently together and individually. I usually use some form of Degree with both antiperspirant and deodorant. They have one that smells like a peach orchard. It's one of my faves. Well, that and baby powder, because everyone can usually tolerant baby powder, even if scent sensitive. Oh, and clear gel. It must be the clear stuff. No white streaks for me.

white streaks are nasty. white dingling balls nastier. don't do it!

I have used men's deodorant/anti antiperspirant all my life. My sweat tastes sweet.
I have however just found a new formula from the brand I use and women seem to really like it. I seriously can't say how many times people have asked me what I was wearing for cologne.

Most of the time I use unscented Sure....works fine. I don't like smelly deodorant/antiperspirant. I also use unscented lotion, unscented shampoo and unscented laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Mixing a bunch of different smells just never works.

I use Dial soap....mountain rain is the scent and the smell is gone after an hour or so.

I also don't wear cologne very often. And when I do wear it, she has to get up close and personal to smell it. It never enters the room ahead of me.

I tend to shower twice a day. In the morning before work and then when I get home from work. I work with dogs all day and I don't like smelling like a hundred dogs after work.

I tried men's deodorant and hated it. Too smelly and harsh for me. But I am a delicate flower like that.....

From 1983 to the present, I've used some variety of Mitchum. While in the Army, working for UPS and working outside in refineries in the South, I have done a lot of heavy sweating. I've worked 16 hour days outside in the refinery, sweating my ass off all day and Mitchum works for me like a charm. I do have to agree though, I think different brands work differently for different people, and I do believe it does have something to do with one's chemistry. It's best to shop around until you find one that works for you no matter which gender a product is billed for.

Thumbs up

While I would love to sit and pretend that I as a Fru I don't sweat. I was a FedEx driver for 10 years in Florida and reality is that Mitchum works. I hate scented anything. I don't want anything clashing with my perfume. Mitchum unscented works like a charm and has kept this Fru from "glistening" in the wrong places for years!

Omg, I thought I was the only one! It took YEARS for me to find anything that worked all day and it ended up being Degree for Men Absolute Protection (antiperspirant and deodorant). Over the years, femmes I have been in relationships with have commented (okay, complained in MANY cases) that I "smell like a man", even with deodorant. Not much I can do about that and in fact, I like smelling like a man! Oh, and trust me, I sweat, a LOT, even with antiperspirant.

I use different anti-persp. depending on what I am doing, what's on sale, and so on. I sweat a lot. So, with that said I depend on Mitchum, Axe, & Right Guard. My all time favorite that has been discontinued is Arm & Hammer's Gel Sport Scent. I so miss it. I only use men's. Women's anti-persp. never worked for me.

Axe actually really surprised me first time I tried the body spray. It was one of those brands that I thought just road off the commercial appeal for its target group. Was surprised it not only worked to any degree as a deo, but worked really well at that. Still prefer Adidas, though.

I don't use it....

I never got into the habit, so if I do buy it, then it sits unused... I really just don't like the way it feels...

I shower before going out and then again when I come home...

If, at some point during the day, I have worked up a killer sweat, then I go to the bathroom and clean up..

I work in a hot kitchen with a hot chef coat on all day. I have tried several different deodarants. I have found that axe...especially type called kilo works for me. I put it on after my morning shower and after 8 to 10 hours of work it still holds up. I also use the axe kilo body wash in the shower and it leaves me feeling really clean.

I used men's deodorant when I worked EMS/Fire fulltime because women's deodorant just did not hold up.
I did not want to be in the back of an ambulance and lean over my patient to get something out of a cabinet and render them unconscious.

I now use Crystal rock deodorant, it works for me.

Another Mitchum user (since the 80's) here, 'tis very effective. My girl uses it too. We both use the unperfumed one.

A little tip for those who experience the white residue thang - just a little bit of aqueous cream or moisturizer wiped over the affected area.

Mitchum works great... I haven't used anything else since I started using it a few years back.

(as to the thread question I couldn't really compare it to the women's deodorants as I haven't used them since I was like a teenager)

I recently started using Mitchum. My old reliable is no longer produced. Mitchum does work great, but it has too much scent ... I am sensitive. I haven't looked everywhere, but wonder if there's a scent free version.
