You Know That Saying ... (T/F?)

Ran into this saying at my Partner's brother's house. It was said to a dog who was misbehaving. Had never heard it before, and laughed myself crazy.

He is a redhead and so am I.

"I'm going to beat you like a redheaded stepchild if you don't stop doing that right now."

"Beat you like a redheaded stepchild" is apparently a regionalism here in the NY North Country.

"Safety In Numbers"...................

If you say that there is safety in numbers, you mean that you are safer doing something if there are a lot of people doing it rather than doing it alone. The idea that one is less likely to be harmed while in a group than by oneself.

A situation that, once started, is likely to become problematic. To attempt to solve one problem, or to do something, that creates a whole litany of other problems that were not there in the first place.

Kind of like "Pandora's Box".... which finds its mythological roots in the same vein as Aesop fables, I imagine!

Generally referring to someone going from average mental output to a better, more genius level of thought.
