I guess this is used to note exasperation at/of a situation. Used when two opposing view points clash.

Also I've never enjoyed this idiom as well! To me it means to silence someone.. as "I don't wish to engage anymore with you" but in a snarky way.

Not sure if this is an idiom, saying, or just something my mother made up, but regardless it cracked me up every time she said it.............

"They Walk Away With The Whole Dam Pig While I'm Fighting To Get A Pork Chop Sandwich"..............

I sort of have my own meaning but I'd be interested in others takes on what the meaning could/may be as well!

"Apple Of My Eye"....................

The phrase apple of my eye refers to something or someone that one cherishes above all others.

Sidebar: Its meaning does indeed derive from an expression signifying the pupil of the eye, one of the most sensitive parts of the body.

Chill: A reference to how one is departing information that they wish another to consider. If the espouser of said information is being loud, crass, acting below one's stature, or vulgar, it is meant to make the one being loud and obnoxious realize and adjust the offensive behavior.

Sidebar: A common legal expression spoken from an attorney to a judge with the opposing legal called into witness what is said.

Vernacular use of sidebar is commonly to permit all sides of a case to be made aware of information relevant to the case as it pertains to the tenets of the case as being presented.

homoe??? Your mom's expression? Was she an Seinfeld fan too??? I ask, because it sounds like something straight out of any episode on that show! Like, maybe Kramer, Seinfeld or George might have said something like that!

Haste makes waste (and it indeed does).

One who attempts to hurry (without merit) causes one to stop

retrace and repeat the blunder made by rushing.

To me, it would be that someone is taking more than their share while others receive very little.
