Movies anyone?

Ah yeah, movies! I love everything from Agnes Varda and Chantal Akerman to Christopher Guest to Stepbrothers. I've seen some really weird movies (Begotten) and some really terrible movies (oh, I mean, lots of things). I have a soft spot for the French New Wave and French cinema (Chris Marker's Sans Soleil is peak Sci Fi) and I think that the Lego Movie is one of the greatest movies ever made.

I also think Napoleon Dynamite should have won the Palme d'Or at Cannes. Please don't judge me.

I want to watch Get Out. I don't usually like that genre but I saw Oprah talking about it and thought it looked interesting.

It wasn't what I was expecting and I have to say I very disappointed really didn't care for it all that much.

As a young woman, she met Harris at her best friend's wedding and had a brief affair. As Ann recalls the bittersweet time in her life, her daughters (Toni Collette, Natasha Richardson) try to come to terms with her imminent death.

I had never seen this movie before and even tho most of it is told in flashbacks I rather enjoyed it.........

A father and daughter live a perfect but mysterious existence in Forest Park, a beautiful nature reserve near Portland, Ore., rarely making contact with the world. But when a small mistake tips them off to authorities, they are sent on an increasingly erratic journey in search of a place to call their own.

Sidebar: I have NOT yet seen this movie but every single review I have come across of it, has been glowing! Even rotten tomatoes has given it 100%! I know the book it's based on My Abandonment subject matter didn't thrill or grab me at first but having gone back and re-read it, I'm now looking forward to seeing how the movie compares!
