Pissed. I'm sitting at the hospital with my uncle who has lung cancer. He wasn't doing well so my mom went to get him and bring him to the ER. He has pneumonia. I had to come up to relieve my mother because she wasn't feeling good. I have been calling his house and no one is answering. His kids should be here. His adult son and wife live with him and they were sleeping when my mom got there to pick up my uncle. If my mom was in the ER I'd be there.

Anxious. I have two pineapple upside down cakes in the oven. I never have good luck with the flip part. It has to be just the right temperature or it will run out and burn you, but if you leave it to sit too long before flipping sometimes it will stick. I hate the not knowing when to invert the pan part. The instructions say wait 5 min. Very skeptical.

Mixed, but determined. Earlier, I was happily listening to the dawn chorus - I heard it right from the first cheep through to when it suddenly cut off almost as if someone had thrown a switch, followed a few moments later by one last solitary trill by a songbird of some sort. Now it'll be naught but the odd lonely cheep for the rest of the day. I love hearing the birds sing!
But now I've got to get stuck into college work that I'm apprehensive about. And I'm having to tell myself that the sooner I get stuck in, the sooner it's out of the way and I can relax properly. Weird that I should feel so reluctant to tackle stuff on a subject that I love - aren't humans peculiar? Anyway - I've a hot date with a couple of assignments due in on Monday - here goes! |

Now this damn boot is aggravating my hip and making it hurt worse. With the Lupus damage to my liver, I'm not allowed much pain meds, so I'm very grouchy and cranky. But I'm very thankful to my bestie for picking up a yummy dinner and taking care of the wild-child puppy.

I was fairly crabby yesterday.

I'm okay but am feeling a bit sleepy. It's the middle of the day when our bodies normally slow down a bit but also the weather. It's cold and grey outside so it's perfect napping weather. The downside to that is that I cannot nap without ruining my sleep for the night.

Worn out: Had a BIG day full of chores and getting stuff done before the storm.
